You're post was gold brother, gave me a good laugh.Kennelers. Apologies if I've mislead you all. On line article i read yesterday arvo definitely had her as 49 cause my whole dogs supporting family were horrified.
Yeah shes the ex of the number 1 mcgrath agent in Australia hes in terrigalShe's actually (apparently) a really, really nice person (his new wife).
I know people that know Kieran and Liam well.

I know were the gap is
Neither.....ill have 50 he doesnt make it through pre season. Im actually hoping he has an injury free season. That hottie up top there will put a bit of pace back in those legs. But my money is on an injury during a contact session when pre season is really heating up.My opinion
* A fit Foran will be a plus for us if he stays fit but his fitness can not be risked in a more physically demanding position.
* Lewis is a talented young 5/8 who will be facing the second year syndrome...He will need the experienced Foran to guid him and take pressure of him !!!
* Marshall King is an honest hard working player that lacks the required skills and speed to be a 1/2 or 5/8.
It's a long way before kickoff...
My question...Will Foran be playing for us or Manly ???
Very optimistic. We're pissed off because he's broken, crap, and taking 10% of our salary cap.I just don't get the logic behind the Foran hate mail. If he's fit to play to his capacity then he's definitely a worthwhile addition to the team. If he's not fit to play then he gets retired, paid out of the balance of his contract by W/C insurance and hence no longer included in our salary cap. I don't see a downside in either scenario. There is of course a timing question, maybe we miss out on a "superstar" half that would take equivalent money, but I don't see any available right now. So we have until July for Foran to play or get paid out. Either way we win.

I don't think it's being optimistic, just realistic. If "he's (truly) broken" then he takes none of our salary cap, because he gets paid out. ie; not in the salary cap.Very optimistic. We're pissed off because he's broken, crap, and taking 10% of our salary cap.
Mate anyone's better than Foran. Even Norman or Mitchell Moses will do IMO.I don't think it's being optimistic, just realistic. If "he's (truly) broken" then he takes none of our salary cap, because he gets paid out. ie; not in the salary cap.
I don't think he is "crap" either, fully fit he's a very worthwhile asset to our team.
We can debate the timing, but even then only if there is an equal quality half available right now who will take the salary and move. Do you have someone in mind?

knowledge and brains ...Foran was never an organizer, nor a general. He never had a kicking game nor a passing game.
He would hit the line, draw a player and put his outsider man through a hole.
The most outrageous comments are the ones who say, even if he is injured he is worth a mill "to teach and guide" the young ones. What utter bullshit and a lack of knowledge.
Uncle Nick hit the nail on the head last year by recruiting Cronk & Andrew Johns as the halves coach. That is what you call a man with brains and a knowledge of the game, along with financial pulling smarts and crunching numbers on a calculator and brown bags
Our rebuild will start once Foran is off the books and the cap money is used to better effect.
A step in the right direction is by having Kimmorley as the halves coach, and i am pretty sure he is on board for 2019.
Our only hope is that the flog Desmond Hasler still has a hard on for foran and hopefully takes him to Manly "to bring the best out of him"
Norman ....... didn't his team finish last, plus he's on $900k (reported) for 2019, any wonder they want to offload him and the Titans rejected him, even with Parra kicking in. Is that a reflection of some cultural problem?Mate anyone's better than Foran. Even Norman or Mitchell Moses will do IMO.
Both players are good. The Problem with the Eels wasn't they playmakers... it was everyone around them. The morale was low, Jarryd Hayne as usual was a dickhead... people just stopped caring.Norman ....... didn't his team finish last, plus he's on $900k (reported) for 2019, any wonder they want to offload him and the Titans rejected him, even with Parra kicking in. Moses ...... didn't his team also finish last, the Tigers let him go without much fight, rated #3 in the Top 5 dud players of 2018.
Moses may end up being OK, if he gets some consistency into his game, on a $500k (reported) contract for 2019, so if Foran ends up on W/C then the timing may suite. But he really needs to play at the level that he is capable of far more often than he has up to now.

It's not a lot different from normal W/C, the medical sign off is significant, a panel that includes an insurance company appointee and the NRL’s chief medical officer. It's permanent, no more playing NRL (or equivalent) allowed. If they do play again they have to repay the W/C payout plus interest. Like every other industry, W/C insurance is compulsory for NRL players and there are 2 "layers", one is "total and permanent disability" such as Alex McKinnon and the other is an inability to play (ever again) for medical reasons. Anthony Watmough is an examples of that process.Does anyone know about the insurance part in medically retiring a player? i dont think ive heard about it apart from watmough. I would have guessed if its that easy, more players would have taken this option and no insurer would have offered it by now

Generally what happens in the insurance company pays out according to the Rugby League Players' Association scheme and then the club tops it up to the contract value. The top up is not included in the salary cap and the player is no longer registered with the NRL in the 30.

Maybe you see something in him that I don't, he had a loosing record while he was at Brisbane and at Parramatta, teams he was in made the finals, what, 3 times and lost every time, not made it into the Queensland team, even on the bench or reserves. How's his personal (non NRL) record? Convicted of drug possession at The Star Casino, leaking sex tapes, fined multiple times for off-field incidents, drinking while injured and a police warning for consorting with criminals. Not sure that he's the type of person I'd want at my club. Both players are good. The Problem with the Eels wasn't they playmakers... it was everyone around them. I'll tell you what, I would take Norman over Foran any day of the week, as would most other doggies fans. Go ahead... make a poll on here!
