The way Barrett is persisting with Katoa reminds me of how Hasler persisted with Lichaa when we had Cook demolishing oppositions for us.

We could easily lose a young talent if Barrett doesn't pull his head in
A few people would have noticed the kid tonight. Tick tock

I don't mind him coming off the bench and playing somewhat limited minutes for that reason but there's no reason he can't play 45-50 minutes. He should have come back on earlier than he did in the second half when it was 18 all.
The coaching staff know they’ve got something special with BBO. IMHO, they want to tread carefully. Look at Averillo,
I reckon the young lad was thrown in the deep end and regressed. But he’s a talent as well and I think he will come out of it and he’ll produce.

It’s the same with BBO.

After tonight’s performance I am a fan. Got speed to burn and played a hand in a couple of tries. Showed great composure for his age and experience. I think we may have found our hidden gem in this shit show of a year.

You think he’s good at 9?? Wait until you see him at 7. BBO should partner Burton next year.
I'm not totally against this but after throwing Jake in the deep end this season Baz sort of has to back him in the halves to start the year otherwise it was just a total waste of time shifting him to 7 lol.

Dietz is the odd man out. No need to resign. JMK not the answer. I’d like to see the club sign a specialist hooker for next year and take there time with BBO

This worries me, as we have seen Baz likes to stick with his halves for too long when they are not performing .
Bailey is a genuine play maker and has the football IQ to run the side and let Burton unleash his running game. Unfortunately he is already the best 9 we have at the club so unless we sign a genuine 9 Bailey will end up playing there next year and that will be a waste of his real talent for mine.

There’s no way BBO is in the halves next year. Either it’s Burton/Avo or Burton/Lewis. Lewis is prob gone I think contractually. Flanagan was a flop signing and he won’t be a long term option.

So I’m gonna bet on Burton/Averillo next season.

Fullback I honestly don’t know what’s gonna happen there.

Hopefully that's the plan.. He does look very talented. Averillo suffered from Reserves being called off last season. BBO already looks more comfortable in FG than Averillo or any of the other youngsters have at a similar stage. Hopefully they re-sign him though as I think he's off contract.

Either way I don't think it matters who plays there if we don't change our system, i've been crying about this a lot recently but I don't like it and think whoever plays there is going to struggle. I think the halves need to be more interchangeable rather than just having the halfback totally dominate play. It works for the Panthers when they have Cleary but without him it falls apart..

Look at the Storm, their entire spine are ball runners and Bellamy just let's them all run. They're all interchangeable and not pigeonholed into one role and it keeps them all in the game and makes them a constant threat across the park.
