    2019 Season Review

Thanks to all those who have read match reports or articles about our great club throughout the season. Below is a link to my extensive review of the season and the performances of individual players. It is a long read but I hope you find the time. Cheers...

Opinion The Bulldogs keep fighting unlike some of the fans

"Nobody calls out the weaknesses in both attack and defence more than I, however the contextual reasons for the tough period that Canterbury is currently experiencing should never be forgotten." https://www.stuartthomas.com.au/dean-pays-dogs-keep-fighting-in-spite-of-some-cynical-fans/

Playing the blame game will not help the Bulldogs, but what will?: Round 13 Match Report

"Sugar coating a result is pointless for any club playing in the cut-throat realities of the NRL and finding a way to soften the disastrous nature of the loss to Paul McGregor’s men on Monday does the Bulldogs no favour whatsoever." Read the entire match report here...

Keep paying the kids Dean Pay, it's the only chance you've got

There is no doubt as to which NRL team produced the most improved performance in Round 3 of the NRL competition. The Bulldogs turned around a fortnight of rubbish to down the undefeated Tigers at Campbelltown on Sunday afternoon in a match that confounded the bookies and fans. Round 1 saw the...

Round 1 Match Report. Bulldogs belted in season opener.

Well, that was something less than an ideal start. The boys were humbled and embarrassed against the Warriors in New Zealand yesterday and there is no way around that fact. Yes, it is only Round 1 and the Eels are the next target yet there were some worrying signs across the ditch. I'll be...

Round 1 line-up and squad assessment

Much discussion is currently taking place around the Bulldogs’ starting lineup for Round 1 of the new NRL season. There are some rather wacky theories and ideas, as well as much well considered analysis and opinion. I’m sure coach Dean Pay isn’t following social media and taking all the advice...

Potentially loser unless we move in. Big difference. We will be fine. The back story is far more about Klemmer than the board or the club.

Don't mind if they don't follow through mate. All good with me. Just there if people want to read it. Not a financial reward for me, just an exercise in altruism. Cheers.

https://www.stuartthomas.com.au/dylan-david-and-the-dogs-farce-or-just-business/ In one of the most long awaited and at times murky deals in recent rugby league history, David Klemmer has signed a lucrative zillion dollar deal with the Knights and Dylan Napa has joined the Canterbury-Bankstown...

Opinion Coffs Harbour: JT delivers a truth that the Bulldogs and rugby league deserved

Thanks mate, but this one was pretty easy to tell really. As you know, most Bulldog people in the know were well aware of the facts for quite some time. Sadly, if you or I stated them, we would have been mocked. As soon as JT spoke everyone listened.

Thanks for all those really nice comments people. Much appreciated. I have a couple of exciting things in the works for the future and might be calling on the kennel for some input. Dumbest roster player release decisions ever, since JT

Can't keep 'em all but Finucane was by far the most ridiculous decision I have seen in recent years. Oh......and the four experiment with a certain lazy forward named after a dinosaur. I can't bring myself to type the name.

Eastwood to leave at seasons end

Good luck to him. No personal animosity here yet I can't think of a player in modern times earning overs like Eastwood was. Perhaps King from Parra all those years back.

Nu Brown - "The Bulldogs want to be the entertainers once again"

Lichaa is a far better defensive option. Brown a far superior attacking player. It is a dilemma for Pay. Personally, Brown is the future even if there is some serious learning to undertake along the way. Either way, make a decision and invest trust in the man chosen.
