Blow some of the games room budget on a generator and you can start living on the other side of the street.

In Armidale we have had a cold wet miserable day, but no serious weather conditions to worry about. I hope all the kennelers in the badly affected areas stay safe and get through this with no property damage either.

The thread title confused me, I thought it was just a really stupid person talking about the Melbourne-based NRL side.

How many nights now brother?
Almost 36 hrs we are ****ed at both ends no services have been out at all yet (understand they are going to be busy ) so even if they come out first thing in the morn it will be a big fix the top quater of the power pole snapped like a twig and is hanging in a bunch of wires the other end is just as messy. Im predicting maybe sat . The kids school is shut they got smashed still no power and trees all over the joint. I can still access porn so not the end of the world. The sirens and rescue units over the last 2 days has been intense driving around the streets looks very walking dead lol . At least my neighbors are indian so if I have to resort to cannibalism ill be eating butter human

Heard a crash at 4:45am yesterday morning. Walked into the loungeroom to find a giant gumtree had gone through the roof. The room is a right off. A few hours later the roof in the next room collapsed.

Fortunately I managed to save all the electronics but we're operating with half a house for now. It's a rental so not a major issue but still annoying.

It's a good thing no one was injured. Would have given you a fright for sure.

Definitely. Some pretty heavy supports came down but fortunately the bedrooms are on the other side of the house. When we were moving in I was originally going to set our bedroom up in that room but I decided that it would make a better loungeroom instead.

The gum tree was about 1m wide. When it came down it hit another tree and cut that tree in half but it slowed it down and knocked it off to the side. If the other tree wasn't there the gum probably would have completely gone through half the house. Still a lot of cleanup to do. The tree is still there 'cause we just haven't been able to get anyone out here to remove it. It's actually laying across another couples driveway and has cut off all power to their house. They can't even get their car out.
