Slept like a Baby to be honest.
Haha same. A branch from a palm tree came off at the neighbour's house at about 8 o'clock but that was about it. I love the sound of rain on the roof. So relaxing.

Closet weather nerds unite !!! :p

This grey and wet weather is set to last until at least next Tuesday (1st May). There's two weather phenomena at work.

1. East Coast Low → That's the "L" on the weather charts sitting of Sydney. It'll hang around until Thursday but the winds/rain will weaken slowly. It's possible areas of Central Coast/Hunter will get 300-500mm of rain during that period.

Map shows forecast for Wednesday 10am

2. Southern Ocean Cold-front → Right now, there's a massive pool of cold air sitting 100km below Western Australia. It'll arrive in Adelaide/Melbourne over Thursday-Friday. It'll strengthen into a 'low' when it gets to the Bass Straight blowing frigid cold air into the snow fields (big falls expected : great news for snow goers). The consequence of all that = More wintery chilly winds for greater Sydney and surrounding areas, mixed with showers. Due to arrive Late Friday or Early Saturday.

Map shows forecast for Friday 4pm

We had a beautiful sunny day here in Forster. Worked at school all day today so did not really get out much. This afternoon is a different matter and about two hours ago it got really overcast and cold and a fair breeze up now. Had some rain around about 3-15 but little to none since but you know how you get that feeling all hell is going to break loose, well that it what it is like now. Gloucester which is about 70 km from here has copped it deluxe with both ends of the Buckett's way cut off by water and Stroud not far from there is isolated by floodwaters too.. Husband has to travel to Sydney for work tomorrow but road is cut off just past Hexham so don't know how he will go.

All gadgets almost out of battery,
Hope the power comes back on soon candle light, and no electricity will be the death of me, kids are losing their mind,
Got a slight break in the weather to cook a bbq before it was to dsrk and made a pot of tea. Now the fun begins 3 autistic boys a teething todler and a new born and we got no power. So im hiding on the bog on the Kennel lol

SOH your area is meant to cop a hammering tonight.

As for us ... bulkhead at back of house has leaked BIGTIME, and theres a waterfall cascading down one wall under the paint.
Yeah it might get interesting wind is picking back up but I think it wont get any worse.

1. Get ALL of the cushions off the lounge.
2. Make a conga line of them on the floor somewhere.
3. Let them loose : Play a game of jump from cushion to cushion.
4. It'll fire them up or a bit, but it'll also wear them out.
