Seems pretty obvious to me but it seems we need to win a certain way to make certain people happy?

I certainly don't pretend to know that much about the Dogs or footy, and everyone has a right to question the club. Opinions are opinions and all of that.

Hard not to scratch your head at some of it though when we've actually been winning games with the same approach?

First time I had seen young Hayes I saw a future representative in him, although he must continue his great work if he is to achieve that and not let situations like this bring him down.

The starting 13 no arguments there,
I can understand his decision to pick this bench
Hayward............covers lock, hooker, halfback and five-eight.
Curren................is one of our best forward,
Tupouniua........a must on the bench and a close starter,
Salmon...............the defender that executes CC's defensive plan doing the teams dirty work,
Mistakes will be made, but CC deserves our trust !!!
As important as it is, it's not about tackles made/missed or meters gained.

I'm pretty happy with ugly wins and building into the season. I trust Ciro has a plan that seems to mostly work, but I still don't understand his selections. IMO, even if small forwards are somehow the magic ingredient in our defence (they aren't IMO), they arent helping out attack. If Bailey doesn't start covering for Mahoney it's more baffling. He was picked at hooker in a NSW cup trial and if anything looks a bit leaner than last year.

People need to stop comparing Hayes and Salmon. They are playing different positions!

Hayes played in the middle at prop. Curran is a better middle so got chosen over him.

Salmon is a lock who is who is interchanged with Mann.

Hayward is the bench utility.

It’s not rocket science. It’s simply that certain players fit specific roles in the team. Hayes is a prop. So he doesn’t have the option of playing at lock in this team.

Seems to always be hot when we play at belmore. Should move the belmore games to later in the season when it's cold

Lol no. Salmon literally came on and played PROP in his second stint. Hayward played LOCK. They were both on together. Curran is more than capable of playing LOCK and has done so in the past. Ciraldo just blows up our rotation to accommodate Salmon/Hayward

Mann yes however he proved otherwise very quickly so I changed my opinion. That's what you do when new information becomes available.

Tupouniua no. I said he was overrated on here which he was. Always been a high ceiling player with pretty bad lows. Bad hands, poor discipline, terrible defensive reads. Was happy to have him in the squad, just didn't think he was worth the long-term deal. If Ciraldo can get some consistency in his game then yh, he will turn out to be a much better buy than I originally thought.
 
Crazy one of the best when he was on ground was dropped. I agree Curran walks right back in. But what did Bailey play? 17 mins max? And solomon? I get it they have earned their place and are versatile. But Harry is a big big body that punches holes through the defence. And hits like a truck. Solomon and Bailey are same same. Maybe 1 keeps his spot. But can’t carry both. And then not have an out and out middle on the bench (yes I get Sitili played middle but he’s been a back rower/centre his whole career).

Cant have a go at Cirro because we are 5th. But that was Hayes best game in the NRL. And guy is looking thicccc lately. We need size. And Sitili must be the old big bopper on the bench. Curran is a work horse. But just that game breaker. Looks like it’s just Sitili. Will be scary when king or dsf is off and they roll out dave fafita and expect Solomon and Hayward to stop him.

They can still be good buys in the end but that doesnt mean there weren’t potentially even better ones out there. The kennel is either one side or another, you aren’t allowed to be flexible and believe both points.

Most people when talking on here about Salmon. I believe generally are of the opinion that there are other options in the squad that can also do the dirty work but also offer a lot more with the ball.

Salmon mightn't be the greatest, but he'll put his head,where you wouldn't let your dog go. His defence has to put him ahead of Hayward. We should keep Harry on the bench though

There are great signs of improvement from last season, new players and better team work will most likely insure that...Now we wait in great anticipation !
