I don’t think the word for players missing out is they “deserve” a spot.

They are simply a better option than who is picked. All teams can only pick 17 to play. Most teams would have 10 players miss out every week that deserve to play. However they are not in the best 17. So the coach doesn’t pick them.

The difference with Ciro as coach is he doesn’t pick the best 17. If Hayes doesn’t play and both salmon & Hayward do. I don’t know what game he watches.

It's a fact, he isn't an 80 minute player and his discipline and errors continually cost us. The same trend continued into this season, like wtf was he even doing at dh during the game? Bloke is having a damn picnic instead of effectively distributing the ball.

It would be interesting to see what the thought process is with Hayes missing out for Salmon.

I’ve got no doubt given the opportunity Hayes could tackle like Salmon in the middle for 20-30 mins to start a game.
