I think that’s pretty hyperbolic.

First of all, the police were satisfied enough that he wasn’t impaired to allow him to drive home, so I really wish people would stop saying he endangered lives… If he was a risk to anyone in the state he was in, he wouldn’t have been allowed to get behind the wheel. Coke can be traceable in a person’s body long after the effects have worn off.

Second of all, his family is his business. Who is anyone on this forum to say he let them down or question his commitment as a father? Is every father who enjoys a few beers while their wife is pregnant letting their family down? People should really stay in their lane with that sort of stuff. From all accounts his family is 100 percent behind him.

Yes, he got into trouble at a bad time for the club. But you know what? He also came to the club in its darkest days. He took a chance on being part of the rebuild of this place and he was the first really high profile player to do it. He captured the attention of kids at a time when they were short on heroes and our brand was a pretty hard sell. He helped pull in sponsors. He showed a passion for this club that I haven’t seen from any player since James Graham and Josh Reynolds left. He may have gotten into trouble before our first finals game in years, but as far as I’m concerned, he is also a big part of the reason we are playing finals again.

Whatever he has done to let this club down, I can guarantee he has done a lot more to lift it up. And after getting sacked, the first thing he did was post about his love for this club. He made a point of going on socials to let the fans know how much being a part of this club means to him. He thanked just about everyone involved in the club with one notable exception.

If you want to discount all of the good he has done for this joint, it’s really your call. But I find it a real bummer people can’t reflect on all the good he did for the club and forgive and forget.
Don't doubt the good he did for the Dogs and the community. I feel for both parties in this matter. However life lessons and accountability for your actions shouldn't be overlooked because no one got hurt or we should just forgive and forget.
I honestly see this as a major debate in the younger generations that people should just make excuses and not be challenged for their decisions…
Tough love and being transparent on consequences upfront is what I personally believe in. There is no grey areas so if my kids or grandchildren mess up. They also accept the consequences and hopefully learn and become better people as a result.
JAC is a great human being and wonderful sportsman. I think the Dogs were very lucky to have had him join us during a very dark time at the club. He will always be remembered as a wonderful member no doubt. Shame that the tests and police didn't follow protocol on the night and let him drive off due to another incident as he may have been able to get a clear message on that fateful night.
It may have changed his comments with the GM and Club and we wouldn't be talking about this sacking. Unfortunately the stories didn't align he accepted the fine and the he stood himself down from the finals and the rest is history.
I applaud your defending him as many of the forum do. I still believe though the decision made was a fair one to cut ties as much I would have love to see him stay for a couple more years even after 2025.
NRL is no longer about loyalty.. and forgive and forget.. its a business and culture and standards are a major component of the program.
Moving forward
Our young guns coming through now have an opportunity to make that wing spot theirs.
Lets be ready to unearth the next talents and look forward to watching them take on their once well lauded Fox albeit in the Red V next year. (Pending terms and conditions)

The Magic butthole to the members of this forum with realistic points of view is just a pathetic agenda driven troll who’s continually working on stretching its a**l sphincter muscle & needs to post inane shit in its downtime..what’s more pathetic is it tries to sound credible..fucking delusional flop

Do you think the forum will move on? Or do you think members will continue to trash Fox’s character every time his name comes up?

He’s being subjected to a lot of over the top and unnecessary hate and I am angry about that. I’m also angry about the way many aspects of this whole sorry affair have been handled.

With all due respect, mate, I’ll move on when I’m ready.
It’s just projection from the fat fuck armchair coaches, failed park footy players and full members that actually think they bleed blue and white, classic Robert deniros In the fan movie

remember it as privilege to play this great game of ours and am absolute honour to end up with CTE and dementia, true battle scars

I loved the fox. My kids idolised the fox. Great player but im sure there is more to the story. IMO, fox money at this stage of his career can and will be spent in better places.

You’re not getting a top 20 winger for much less man. People always mention his salary. $500 or 550k isn’t that much for good wingers these days. Admittedly his best days are behind him, but who knows, if he got over those niggles, he still could have been effective. I don’t know whose idea it was but him bulking up was a big mistake.

I've never seen anyone take coke any other way then up the nose. So if he thinks he may have unknowingly taken it, then I'm sure he is lying.
Terrible shame to lose a player of his quality, but club first, team second, individual last.

Err, you can easily take it unknowingly or test positive if it was dropped in your drink or you drank from the same bottle/cup as someone who was on it.

And by your logic, it's all good to be a drug driver who has blatantly lied and shown no remorse for his actions? Yeah... what a fine example our young pups can aspire too!

Oh geez, some people really didn’t learn comprehension aye.

I have followed the game for almost 76 years, so I do know a thing or two.

I also know that the Dogs have standards, and are prepared to give leeway to players who have made mistakes. But, when it comes to deliberately misleading the club, where it puts the reputation of the team on trial, there must be higher standards.

Had JAC come clean, and admitted the truth, the club could have worked with him to manage his problem. He lied, and put the club in a position where it looked like we could be complicit in a cover up; setting a poor example for the team and the fans.

I love the passion and enthusiasm Josh displays on field, and the great tries he has scored for us. There is obviously something more to this than we know at this stage, and the club would not have made the decision lightly.

So misleading the club (if that even actually happened because as far as we know, Josh believed he was innocent) is worse than steroids or domestic violence? Because the latter was acceptable less than a year ago by the very same club. I’d rather a drug driver at the club than a frigging woman basher!!

There are a few naive or extremely stupid people on here who either won’t read or can’t comprehend the last sentence in your post.

What are we supposed to “comprehend” ffs? You’re throwing up a big hypothetical. It is actually completely believable that Gus et al would fire a player simply for misleading or not being transparent or however you want to say it. If you know for a fact there’s more to it, say it, don’t insinuate but say nothing.

Look at how Gus treated Cotric and Topine. Gone because he wanted them gone. Cotric was signed before Gus arrived as GM. He was like “nah we aint paying that much for him” and he “did what was best for him” and got him to agree to fuck off. Everyone liked it at the time because he wasn’t offering the value, hut let’s not beat around the bush, Gus is fkn cutthroat. Topine couldn’t handle some hardcore punishment and was kicked to the gutter like a bad dog. RFM also told to piss off. Probably others I can’t think of atm.

We actually resemble a club most fans can’t stand which is hilarious to me. Look at how the Roosters act and it’s so similar. Publicly carry on about their high standards etc, only to be ruthless and hypocritical.

I’m not throwing up a big hypothetical. I know there are a few people here who know a lot more about the Jac situation. They will not, nor need to share the details with everyone. You will also notice that there are less people actually sharing info, interest and signing info with the forum as well. It only feeds the trolls and media circles.

The club has made the RIGHT decision. All those that have been moved on have done so for some reasons you know and others you will likely never know in the interests of the club, team and/ or player. You can choose what you want to believe.

Or if your in a room with an unconcious naked chick and someone farted and as you're sniffing around to see if its her some of the white line above her vay vay goes up your nose.

Or if someone put a coke smeared dildo on your car seat and since you're in a hurry to get a phone charger you decide you're gunna pull it out of your arse when you stop the car.

100% - many ways you can accidently get coke in your system :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy:
