Or you could support another team if you don't like the team 1st direction our club is going?
Did I say I didn’t support the direction the club is going ?? You dick

Whether you like it or not (which I don't), this decision was likely made to free up a substantial salary and a top-30 roster slot.

Especially given that he's a 30-year-old, injury-prone, speed-reliant winger who isn't the metre-eater, which this team needs. Brian To'o wouldn't have been sacked in the exact same example.

They just gave a top 30 spot to Montoya..
Maybe he never knowingly took coke? Hes not gone to rehab like Ezra.

I find it interesting after all this time he’s still sticking to this story line. Maybe he is telling the truth and the tests weren’t 100%. How do you fail a roadside test and the cops don’t tell you to walk home?

Anyways it’s a shame his time has ended like this. His replacements are bog average and don’t bring any flair to the side.

He paid the fine pretty quickly dude.. That's an admission.

Hi Rainman. Go back to my post. I wasn't talking to you. I was supporting you! Sorry it didn't come out that way. Cheers. 88

I'm listening and I've heard these excuses before

I've been in Gus shoes where you tell your staff to be upfront and honest and that we can work through it together, but they come to you with lies after a stuff up

Lies and cover ups are not treated well because it creates more shit, and I've also heard all the sob stories that come with those lies, more often than not those sob stories are BS.
One question. You honestly think the result would have been the same if it had been a player he saw as integral to our future? Because I have my doubts.

Which other GM of Football ever does a press conference taking questions about a roadside drug positive?! None, that’s who. Because it’s the fkn CEOs or chairman’s job.

Gus likes a microphone ALMOST as much as he likes a mirror! :tearsofjoy: And no, that DOESN'T take away from the good things he's done with juniors/pathways/casting the net a bit wider (Fiji, for example), but facts are facts. It is possible for JAC to have done the wrong thing, AND for Gus to have handled it sub-optimally, the 2 aren't mutually exclusive...

Thought you were opting out of this chat ? Can’t help yourself ?
Or are you taking over the reign of top troll because your gimp is being called on all its piss & wind comments & assumptions ?
Legit questions.. Once again if you want to be credible stick to the facts..
You harp on about Mann I’m sure current & prospective players are fully aware of past so called indiscretions & future indiscretions would not be tolerated at the club..if he or anyone else fucks up you have no one to blame but yourself.. so let it go you preach to everyone else on here but your problem is you don’t listen..

I personally have come down less harsh on more valuable employees, not all the time but I have in the past. Thats human nature

Gus did go all out guns blazing about latrell and his indiscretions.

So maybe he would've maintained the same stance

I still think it was the fact JAC tried to cover it up that did the bigger damage. Having been there, done that ie managing people, the first issue i work through with my staff, it's the dishonesty that gets them on the bad books

Results of the drug test were kept in house. You think that would have been the case if they tested negative? Legit question

but did they test positive?

ponga is quoted that he had food poisoning which is why he was in the cubical and Mann was obviously there to check on ponga.

Seems like a cover up to me. You honestly think if they tested negative the club wouldn’t release the results to kill off the story?

Why would Ponga go out clubbing with food poisoning? Why would Mann get ejected just for helping a sick mate? Why would Ponga need someone in the cubicle with him in the first place? Not like he has long hair that needs to be held back.

Can’t say for sure, I guess… but the whole story seems very fishy.

there's zero evidence though so we can't exactly say that ponga and Mann were both doing drugs in a cubicle....

maybe ponga got food poisoning from something he ate at the club?
