Went their Friday nights after Canterbury leagues as it was open till 3 amYeah it was an interesting venue. I saw the lead singer of Moving pictures kick a bloke in the head knocking him out cold after he pegged a beer. And John Swan punch a bouncer for punching a punter at the same place.
Good times.
So many great bands etc played there.nah, awesome live music.
Sunday nights used to be huge there. Back in the day when a band was touring pubs etc around the country, around SEQ it usually went something like Toowoomba or Sunshine Coast Thu night, Brisbane Fri and Sat nights and Gold Coast Sun night. So if there was a decent band that you really liked, you could go see all four shows if you really wanted. I normally skipped the Toowoomba one thoughThe Playroom at Tallebudgera on the Gold Coast.
The old chrome dome in the pocket trick.I tell the mrs to put her hand in my pocket and grab my Peter Garrett doll
When the punter came to did he say ‘What About Me?’ Sorry .I saw the lead singer of Moving pictures kick a bloke in the head knocking him out cold after he pegged a beer.

Cumberland Hotel, Bankstown. A seedy old watering hole, with a cast of colourful characters, Viet gangsters being shot on the doorstep, topless barmaids, great beers and lots of laughs.
I forget the names of Bankstown's Viet gangsters at the time. One lot was known as the "sailor boys". I can't remember the others.5T oh wait that was Cabramatta
