Yeah, the first Maccas in Australia...The original Maccas at Yagoona
Remember skelsys. Only ever arrived there when I had way to much to drink. What a dive lol. Back in the days when responsible service of alcohol laws didn’t exist.Someone mentioned Bankstown Bizzo's club ? late 80's a little dingy place but just up the road from the Sports club used to do surprisingly well there mainly with chicks i worked with lol as we worked at the State Bank branch just down the road on the cnr of Chapel Rd Sth.
And Skelseys on the Hume Highway just past the Meccano lights anyone know it? special place that one it may have relocated now and be better than it was back then in the 90's)..would kick on there after a sesh at the The High Flyer near Bankstown Airport(bloody good suburban pub and still is apparently), cause enough piss was never enough.
Finally i've always loved the drive-ins so Bass Hill one get's an honorable mention, redeveloped years ago for housing i read.
One of the best memories of the old man were him, my brother and me(parents divorced when we were early teens or younger)hitting the drive ins.

I didn't know there was an original Newport Arms. Re The Roxy, do you mean the one in The Valley In Brisbane? OMG, had many memorable nights there.Village Grand Prix, The water works Mt Druit, Marineland before SeaWorld, The original Maccas at Yagoona, Take Five on the Goldy, The original Newport Arms, The Vienna Inn, The Roxy.
It randomly went back in action for a few weeks around 5 years backThe Sawdy at Gladesville (the Sawdust Hotel)
Was sold at one stage then was renamed to the Gladesville Hotel, but everyone still called it "The Sawdy"
On the final night we pretty much trashed the joint.
I heard something about that. After it closed down it turned into a Brazilian BBQ place but that didn't last long.It randomly went back in action for a few weeks around 5 years back
Ha ha, The Sawdy, what a hovel. The Sawdy at Gladesville (the Sawdust Hotel)

Yep. But nowhere was quite as bad as the BridgeHa ha, The Sawdy, what a hovel.
On par with the old ‘Friend in Hand’ in Glebe that we used to call the ‘Fist in Face’ .
Both of them - Rozelle and the Pyrmont Bridge where once upon a time when they hosed the blood off the walls the odd tooth washed out into the street too .Yep. But nowhere was quite as bad as the Bridge
When they introduced Sydney lockout laws, Pyrmont Bridge was unaffected as technically its outside the city. So after 3am it would be packed with all kinds of low-lifes. The bonus of that is that they caused a distraction. We would sit at the bar and as soon as a fight broke out, the bartenders and security got distracted so we could reach over the bar and refill our drinks. Both of them - Rozelle and the Pyrmont Bridge where once upon a time when they hosed the blood off the walls the odd tooth washed out into the street too .
Big circle bro5T oh wait that was Cabramatta.
Tracks was gangsta when they served pizzas on a Wednesday night. I assaulted someone in the toilets once.To me it's dead. DEAD.
It's not called Tracks anymore apparently. Took out the piss stained sticky floor. As soon as they did that, the place was dead to me.
Along with the fact that they actually wouldn't allow me inside anymore after the 'incident(s)' ... *****
