Dude read all the pages and youll get your answer. Sure he is a junior but you want get it served on a platter if you dont want to put the hard yards. All players get hiccups along the way, its getting over them that makes you stronger. He didnt want that pretty much, he thought he was an auntomatic inclusion to the FG team this year, well frankly he is lucky to be playing NSW Cup
100% correct. There is the answer right there.

For every door that closes another will open. Probably in best interests of both club and player in the long run if neither are happy with each other. Kite may excel at another club or dwindle and fade into oblivion. His departure will allow another keen and eager player to fill the spot he vacates and be most likely content with it.

I did post on the rumour /dissusion thread that a Possible swap was happening with John Kite and Sika Manu, and got shot down.

Well well ,stage one done now for stage two.

Ha ha "Bird id the word" LOL.

Just on John Kite ,I care for him like a son and he needed a change ,and maybe a wake up call?

Terrible news.

He was impressive in First Grade last year.

The club should not have given up on him. He will realise his potential in Melbourne

It's a two-way street. The club has done everything for Kite and both Moore and previously Folkes have been very good to him. Kite didn't work as hard as others and when not being picked kept on whinging about wanting a release. Have we heard Morrin, Williams, Hickey, Utai, Crisp, Winitana, Millard, Holdsworth and Nanai ***** and moan for a release when they had stints in reggies?
Exactly.

Plus he's ****e. Don't know what all the fuss was about. There is a difference to performing well against toyota cup and NSW cup players and holding your own in first grade. He was given many chances and never stood up once imo.

Melbourne have a history of getting the best out of unknown props or props who didn't establish themselves at other clubs and I'm sure they'll do a good job with Kite also.

Like many players a change of`scenery might be just what they need to pick up their acts and turn things around.

Any of other club would have had him playing FG this year at stages ... we didn't can't put the blame on him for seeking a FG opportunity else where

Kite gave up on our club. Not the other way around.

If kite put the effort in he would have been played more FG.

He chose to leave

Kite listened to the wrong people and have insisted all year he get a release. He took the easy way out. Hickey chose to go the hard way.

Mate Im not saying one way or the other

But from his perspective, he would have expected a few more runs in FG ... didnt get them and started doubting whether he would so he left

thats all Im saying, blame can't be put on him

well actually it should be. seems like he has that typical under 20's attitude towards football. "want it all now or im leaving"

when he got dropped he should have taken it upon himself to train harder then everyone else, play harder then everyone else and if he REALLY wanted to be a part of this club then he would have pushed himself to the limit and earnt more chances.

instead, he's packed up his bags and taken the easy option.
