Saw him play. He could be scintillating at times, and very ordinary at other times.Lets not forget Ewan McGrady's awesome one and done season.
I'm old enough to remember seeing Ross Kidd take us to our first GF since 1942.Best ever!? How old are you?
Mortimer perfected the kick and chase, and he had Greg Brentnall for tactical kicking as a back up. The rules were different back then - any kick that found the line in the opposition's half gave the opposition the scrum feed.Sherwin's kicking game at his peak was ridiculous . I didn't have the pleasure of watching Mortimer play but im fairly confident that Sherwin had the best ever kicking game..
Mbye - another AtHLeTEJake Averillo
from memory, Shifty signed his 5 year contract in 2003Once he got the 5(?) yr extension after 2004, he was never the same.player.
Different eras but Turvey by the length of the straight
So am I. Debatable if he was better than Dennis Ward or Terry Reynolds, the other Berries half backs of that era.I'm old enough to remember seeing Ross Kidd take us to our first GF since 1942.
it was more like 3 seasons and McGrady was a great footballer, a natural... so much so, he played plenty of fullback as well as halfback... and then he just left... what could have beenLets not forget Ewan McGrady's awesome one and done season.
Polly had the nack of tackling out of marker, I can remember him making four tackles one after another against Canberra back at Belmore, they never got out of their ten-meter line and had to do the clearing kick from behind their try line.Polly was a talent
