Why are you suprised? I like Trent but i like the Dogs far more. We wont win anything with Trent or Reynolds playing in our side.

Origin one and two last year highlight both of their lack of creativity. The best players in the game surrounding then and they got nothing out of it. Hodkinson a try for himself and hayne did the rest. Week in and week out for the dogs. Graham/Kasiano/t-Rex have more try assists then Reynolds and hodko

Reynolds and Hodko are both as shit as each other, just in different ways. We will end up with the same result with either of them in the team. But **** me this is the worst i have ever seen Trent play, i even wanted him hooked for Josh at one stage during the game ffs.

Last night DCE & Foran were shit in their team. Last week Pearce and Maloney were shit vs sharks! So it happens. Week in week out we play with no Fkn structure and the game plan you talk about is what.....hit it up for 5 and run last tackle if we are in the 10m zone.
Maybe we should be looking for a new coach with new ideas This shit is crap and not NRL standard.
In 2012 Des revolutionized attacking plays what has he done since? Nothing new.
AND if you know this game like you all reckon you do..... Then how do we dominate oppositions from a flat start style of play? It's crap.

HASLER plays this structure because of how shit Hodkinson is. No way in the world would play like this if Hasler had a quality halfback. Ever since he took over the dogs he has had to play with what he has got. About time he flicks Hodkinson off and get replace him with a Half that csn control a team around so that we can pkay with a structure that would win us a premiership

I've stayed out of the discussion about whether Hodkinson should be in FG or not. Today, I saw enough to agree that he is not playing to the standard of a half-back in a top eight team. He seems disinterested to me.

Hokko needs to look at what halves do, the Widdop bouncy kick is what halves do, he needs to spend a week on Thurston video's to realize its free world and you you can do whatever you want.

I, and many others, agree if Hod doesnt lift soon he should spend some time in NSW Cup. Didnt need a new thread to say it. Merging.

Maybe when our troops return Des can decide which "half" to drop, MBye, Hod or Reynolds. Cant play one of the bench all year, it doesnt help our teams cohesion at all so far. On form Hod would be the one dropped, i thought at least reynolds showed some spark and x factor today, and MBye is outplaying both of them.

They are terrible lol. A good half brings the players around him into the game, they don't do that. Moses is our best option and he has played about 5 games in the halves at NRL level. The club needs to get him a partner for next season. I didn't want Carney at first, but **** me i would take him midseason agter what i saw today. We need an experienced playmaker.

Spot on.....you have Johns one of the greats calling out Hokko.........if you were one of the senior forwards surely you must have a quiet word to the coach. If we had decent creative play maker halves we would have won two comps 2012 & 2014.

Joey has been calling hokko out for ages - and he is dead right when he does.

Trent is shyt, and we all agree, but as dogseye61 aka Trent's dad said, the coach has to take most of the blame. Our game plans are the worst in the NRL, and our flat attack is so out of touch!!! The reason we win games is because of how tough the team is, and our ability to grind out games.

As a former halfback, Des Hasler has done nothing to improve the games of Trent and Grub. In fact, if anything, they have been on a steady decline. It's about time the coach starts taking some of the heat.

Trends out of his depth, he has been for the last 3 seasons.

Thats a bit rough, last year was his first full season in a while, and he was decent for large chunks of it, and won us a number of games. This year however even i am losing patience waiting for him to come good. At first this year i gave him the benefit of the doubt because he had no offseason, and major surgery, but he just hasnt come up good this year. I dont know if hes 100% post surgery, whether its temporary or what. Sigh. I do like Hod, so its a shame.

I think most of us like hod, but it's a competitive sport and unfortunately atm he's just not playing well enough to warrant being in the top squad.

I truly hope this is just part of the recovery from the surgery and given another couple of weeks, months whatever it takes he regains the form that saw him win us multiple games last year and who knows if a few things went differently maybe led us to our first gf win in 10 years.

I just think he needs to spend some time in nsw cup to regain his fitness and confidence.

He is the only specialist kicker in the NRL. His passing game blows, his short kicking game blows as does his long one, he doesn't control a game, his running game is laughable but he can make 4 points 6.
