Sad to read about your other health issues.

Re your heart murmur, it may have been caused by the low iron. I have low iron, but I don't take tablets as that interferes with my heart medication.

Re the lipoma how big is it.

A general practitioner (GP) can perform surgical removal of a lipoma at their practice. However, they may also refer a patient to a surgical specialist.

Great news about CML Leukemia and Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
The lipoma is about the size of an orange, or larger. It will require 2-3 days in hospital, and maybe 6 weeks or so recovery. Too big for a GP job. I had it looked at by a professor at Sydney Adventist Hospital, about 4 years ago. But in the meantime, the cancer battles have prevented having it done, due to low immunity and high risk of infection.

With the murmur, a couple of years ago, as part of the chemo risk assessment, I had the heart checked. At the time, there was some minor issue, not of concern. I can't remember what, but the very slight thickening of something, from memory. The doctor reckons that could the cause of the murmur. But wants to check to be sure.

Update:

I saw my Haematologist on Christmas Eve.

My Iron level is on the low side of normal. I have to remain on supplements.

The CML Leukemia and Hodgkin's Lymphoma appear to remain in remission.

I still haven't heard from the Gastroenterologist to investigate the suspected internal bleeding (and subsequent low Iron). So, old mate is sending through another referral.

I apparently have a heart murmur that requires an ultrasound and further investigation. So, a referral is being sent to a heart specialist.

My next round of blood tests and consultation with the Haematologist is in 3 months.

So, some of the big issues are going ok for now, but he keeps finding new things to keep the circus going.

Aside from all that, I have a large lipoma that requires surgery. I wasn't able to get it done while I was on chemo, because of the infection risk. Now old mate doesn't want to get involved, so I have to find my own surgeon.

Gosh my man. So tough. You are one powerful unit getting hit after hit but keep going. The laughs you bring to Kennel are immeasurable. Keep hanging in their brother, as Assassin said where all behind you.

Probably because you are thinking of the donor & his family.

I know you would think of them all the time, but more so around this time.
It is a testament to your strength and willpower.. It also shows the love of a young man and his decision to help others, even in death. Humanity at it’s greatest.
He would of been 26 this year. God bless him and his family always.
