Anyone east of the GPO is exempt from the cap.

Yep and when they introduced the salary cap in 1990 the cap was $1.5M. The Canberra Raiders spent almost $3M & received a small fine & kept their premiership. If the NSWRL had acted appropriately right there & then, then they may not have been so many train wrecks.

The Broncos should have been caught a few years ago but Andrew Gee resigned & the NRL didn't have the power to interview him. I would have said either be interviewed or you will not be allowed to have any association with rugby league in this country again & not even be allowed into a ground.

That really grated when the Raiders fans turned up waving wooden spoons the week we had all our points deducted for the same thing they were allowed to keep a premiership.
