How many disallowed tries have we had this year?
How many penalty goals would we have scored if we had been awarded the penalties that we should have?
Keeping in mind that we lost the Manly game on penalty goals alone, otherwise we scored exactly the same amount of points as they did.

Of course its not the only reason, but it's impossible to ignore.

Go Dogs
As an aside Manly were missing their whole first choice backline, had a reject in centre, winger on debut, lost their 6 halfway...did I mention no Turbo or DCE

okunbur has the frame to be an amazing winger.. unfortunately he needs a spine and brain transplant, because his are missing.. and the halves and hooker are the reason we are not scoring points.. great outside backs cant do sh!t if they dont get quality ball
Disagree. Put latrell mitchell in our backline and we are a different team

there really is no excuse for this .. ive been hearing excuses about our attack since 2015...
The excuse is that the coach can not get this side to work effectively as a unit and we're relying on individual brilliance that's just lacking the squad...we also aren't getting the players capable of pulling off something in the positions to do so, we can't even throw CHN some early ball lol.

We don't play to our strengths. Wish we were playing like the first half of our trial match! We would have the Storm and Souths scalps in our bag. Frustrating being a supporter right now.

Yes and no.

Unless a Cronk or Keary overcall the coach then yes we would score tries

Pay attack is not too dissimilar to Des ball...our attack angles towards the corner post, there’s fk all variety and predictable shifts with block plays.

When was the last time we saw a half play to the line with runners inside and out?

Also the hooker position is an issue and has been since Ennis (Cook for last few games) left

Service and vision
A settled halves combination solves most problems. We lost Foran after his best game in 3 years!!!, We have no difficulty putting ourselves in field position. Looking at most other sides, if they dont score through the hands they'll then put a kick in...to wingers to take on the full in goal to score or bat back outside goal or grubbers. Most teams score 2 tries a game from kicks...we score 0. So add 2 more tries to all our games...where would we be coming? We would of beaten Storm, Suffs, Manly and Knights and be on 12 points in top 4!!!!! Learn to kick to the ingoal...score bullshit tries like everyone else!!!

that matters very little because its the same mentality over and over again, regardless of who the halves are .. and the same result ..

Im sorry it cannot be that hard to stop playing so conservatively .. because that is the most common theme..

Fantastic we have the best completion rate .. woo hoo ..

you know why we have the best completion rate .. because we never try anything and are boring and predictable.. the same reason why we dont score tries..

I still remember when hasler made our players die on the last tackle with the ball.. and the rocket scientists around here thought it was a great idea.. it wasnt a great idea then and it still isnt now .. It encourages negative play.. weve been caught several times with ball in hand on the last and its just not acceptable
Exactly we replaced des for a different coach with same mentality and coaching style. Doggies would have to have the least ammount of repeat sets in nrl, because they aren't meant to kick in goal and risk 7 tackle set. Halfs should be working their arses of practising precision grubbers they are still the best attacking option when teams defend well you get a chance at a try, repat set or defence catches it and get tackled.

I always held the view we are the worst team from scoring kicks but more frustrating is we are the worst at defending

At least 10 years now

Brimson is finally at fullback again. Why Brennan had persisted with Gordon this whole time is anyone's guess. Brimson plays way better at fullback and they'll have to try and kick away from him and be on red alert when he has the ball or is pushing up in support.

Generally speaking, the team hasnt performed as bad as some would think. The problem the team is having is errors.
Ball security, passes going astray, holding in tackles etc. Get that in check and they will be a force in a lot of games.
