OFFICIAL | POST-GAME Pre Season Challenge #2 Vs Brisbane

The key objective today was ks in the legs, some solid contact and getting the reps in

that said there were poor individual performances across the park through a Cbf attitude/don’t want to get injured in a trial game

that’s all good and well if we turn up in round one and win

look at the Dragons two big trail wins with full strength but if they lose to us which they should then all that trial form means jack shit
Not necessarily.
Dragons have 2 recent games to call on as "benchmarks" for the the season which is infinitely better than us trying to call on the form from over 6 months ago and with players no longer there.

I think they are in a much better spot than us, and even if they lose, their coach will be using their trial performances as reference to get them back on track.

Don't know where. Not on the Broncos forum they're not.

They are questioning, why Burton etc weren't given a rest.

Carrigan was only going to play 20 mins, got a bit of a twinge of the hammy at 17 mins & was replaced.
Nah just people I know.. live in brissy myself

The first 25 minutes was defence, attack was clunky. 2 errors on high kicks which lead to x2 try's, School boy errors in own half. I wouldn't be worried for round 1. Easy fix. Broncos one the preseason trials last year and missed the 8th. Dogs are slow starters. Stop the hate on burton and Mahoney.

We were.. Haas and Carrigan puffed out.

The game also went when CC just played Hughes and Mann basically the whole half then unleashed Morrin, Hayes and Hayward at the same time for fcuk all reason.

He needs to sort his bench out ASAP!
Morrin and Hayward were unleashed to make up for what we lacked from our "5/8th"

on something way off topic, at yesterday's trial game former Dolphins player Valynce Te Whare was sitting directly in front of us, and was thinking to myself what a wasted career, this bloke is built like a brick shithouse, he big, he's strong, what a shame he doesn't have the right attitude for nrl
and he's a pretty decent fella to chat to
In this game attidude is a big contibuting factor, whether good or bad.
The Broncos, after displaying the bad attitude last year were hungry to show what they could do with a good attitude.
They were a completely different side from last year in the head department.
The top four for this season just got a bit more squeezy

They are not the halves pairing if we want to be serious top 4 contenders.

At least one of spine players needs to consistently produce scoring opportunities (have an ability to read the game) and neither has proven they are able to do that.

For me O'Neil is ahead of Sexton at this point. Pair him with Burton until Tia or Woods is ready.
I wholeheartedly agree.
Although i reckon the team can improve quicker getting rid of Burton first up and then move on from Sexton when they find a top 3 halfback that can dominate a game.

I feel Sexton still has some improvement in him. We've unfortunately already seen the best of Burton and im afraid it just doesn't cut it.

Our preseason training was complete trash. They weren't fit etc

Also isn't there prize money for the Witzer pre season challenge.

When Presto made the break he was looking for support and backed himself did the same several times last year how hard can it be to say as we move forward stay in support, i guess passion cant be taught eg Baa
It makes the failure to recruit Pappy even more of a failure....
