The whole team looked rusty except Preston and Mann. We are seriously lacking second phase plays but CC is going to play this first part of the season ultra conservative so I doubt there will be any anytime soon.

Yeah there’s been a lot of criticism on TK dished out at Burton. Yes he made a couple of poor defensive reads. However more of a concern for me was Tracey’s 2 x dropped kicks (when not really under any pressure) that conceded 2 tries & cost us 8 points. Tracey had a horror game & will no doubt work on that. I also had some deja vu on past TBaz times, when, just as we got back in the game with some tries, we quickly made dumb mistakes close to our line, conceded 2 tries letting the Broncos get away again. I realise it was only a trial……but please CC, get our defence & mistake rate sorted before R1.

We need a new fullback..
 
This game really showed that CC is a wonderful coach… He was able to motivate this squad to play way above their expectations last year and will have to do the same this year. I’d say a team meeting with Sexton and Burton on the cards. Burtons concentration, energy levels and execution went missing, his high point last year was his combination with fox needs to swap focus on Kikau… this side needs some trick shots.
