It was so obvious that the game plan was to just kick the ball through Sexton and not put any sort of plays on ahead of round 1.

I think Burton missing that tackle was one of only a few points that would of concerned CC but the rest of it they were in first gear in attack, didn't shift the ball once. Which is how we beat Brisbane last year so convincingly.

What kind of coach would tell their team to go hell for leather with all the defensive and attacking shape that they will use in two weeks? Common lads.

sorry late reply I like that thinking but he is just to lazy, we need a workaholic at fullback. I think Tracey is the man was off on the weekend I think part of the lethargy was the heat. Broncos been itching for that trial we are a side that needs to play to improve. Burton gets better when the pressure is off him and every one else is functioning well that's why he is better at origin level and in panthers side. Think Burton has it in him he fed of Fox energy last year and CC and Crew need to work out who in the fuck is gonna push Burton to get his game on and maybe include some Jason Taylor screaming sessions.

Said it before and I'll say it again, he is more important than our halves, he has already proved that.

Kempy made a good point on the BIAB podcast. We probably peaked a little early last year and there's probably little pressure to come out swinging on day 1. Brisbane, on the other hand, HAVE to start their year strong. With Madge coming in and with all the media attention/speculation around how the players have responded to him, a slow start could lead to some devastating headlines and potentially derail their season.

I think peeking early and loosing games are very different things. ..we need to get our game wins while lifting our performances and pressure is on to win in NRL..managing performance pressure is the skill sets of all these high performance teams.
