Well got some bad news, I'm in here for at least another 3-4 weeks plus it looks like my thyroid is really fucked and has to come out, but I have a very strong chance I won't make it through surgery.

I'll take the risk tbh, what's meant to be will be.

dont let them take the thyroid out, even though i am not a doctor but get second opinion.

Upon a quick Google, thyroid removal doesn't sound like it has the best side effects.. BUT if the thyroid is fucking up and preventing you progressing up / onto the transplant list.. yank that bastard out yourself.

You know what I've come to realise in all this.

Outside of visitor hours (and when family isnt there) things would get really lonely.

So us being on here as an extended family and support network, offers you a chance to actually have an ear to listen when you most need it, and could very well help you along in your healing process

Sadly all it does is just ease the pain by about 20% for me, and lasts only 2 hours.

Everyone loves it but for me it's the same shit as useless panadol lol
