There's unfortunately still a long offseason ahead. Probably upwards of a thousand articles based on potential player movements.

While it's true that Burton is still a risk of moving on until his contract is signed and his manager is still seeking to get more for him, this still feels like a pointless thread. We'll either retain him or he'll find a new club/code. I'll be fucked if I'll get stressed about these things. Ke seraph. Whatever will be.

Admittedly I was actually excited by that game. Unfortunately it was a rarity. It showed what his best was and gave false hope. I'm now in the "Barrett was a poor coach camp", hopefully Ciraldo can develop players. We certainly saw improvement as a team under Potter. We can't just recruit our way out of a hole, there needs to be improved form/skills from most of the roster to go far.

Forgive the negativity, but talk is cheap and only results count. I've lost the ability to hear players talk things up and feel confident. Even more I've gotten to the point where I know that a portion of fans death ride players, but it's beginning to get old hearing them talked up before they've done much.

Money isn't everything... For a knock about country boy with a tight nit family what's a kid gonna do hanging around 50 foreign behemoths with a different attitude and mind-set in another country constantly kicking a ball and nothing else?

Its a retirement package for the kid instead of SL just like many AFL guys and he knows that already.
