Rubbish....if the matter had been reported, the police would have investigated it. No evidence at all to suggest the matter was even reported by Mr Bladen. If you have evidence he reported it first, please produce it.The father stood up for his family when the law wouldn't - you tell me who's wrong, the law of the land or common sense.
And no, the father was given a $1000 fine, but this was not a crime, it was an offense. There is a difference.
The reports I've read suggested his daughter came home upset, the father asked where the kid was and immediately decided to take the matter into his own hands, despite his daughter displaying common sense and asking him not to.
And assault is considered a crime under Australian law. It's not just an offence. It's a crime.....and a pretty serious one. It certainly shouldn't be applauded or celebrated.
