Manchester United defender Mikael Silvestre remains Olympique Lyon's No1 target to replace crocked captain Cris.
Lyon have sounded out several targets, including PSG 's Mario Yepes and Juventus stopper Jean Alain Boumsong, but Silvestre is management's No1 choice.
Encouraged by news that he is available from United after earlier rejecting a move to Newcastle, Lyon hope the chance to play in front of France coach Raymond Domenech ahead of next year's European Championships will convince Silvestre to accept a return home.

Pedersen agent admits Arsenal, Spurs offers
tribalfooball.com - August 15, 2007
The agent of Morten Gamst Pedersen admits they're seeking a new contract at Blackburn Rovers.
After reported rejected bids from Arsenal and Tottenham, agent Rune Hauge is looking to bag Gamst Pedersen a new deal at Ewood Park.
"We have registered what is happening," Hauge told VG.
"Our job is to secure our clients the best possible deals in relation to the market he plays in. As offers from Tottenham and Arsenal were rejected, Gamst's deal is something we have to talk about.
"We will talk with Blackburn. We've got a good relationship with them."
Meanwhile, Gamst Pedersen has declared that his main concern is not of his pay-packet, and says he is instead happy to be valued to the extent of a new deal.
"If Blackburn want to pay me more, it means they appreciate my contribution to the team," he said.
"I don't go around thinking of money. Money means a lot in this world, but not everything."
