We hear time and again from Storm players that Bellamy makes sure every player knows their exact job and drives that home through endless repetition. For example if you're a half or a hooker and can't throw flat passes that land on chests 95% of the time, then you need to practice it over and over until you can. Is it that hard? And why hasn't someone coached that silly little delay JMK has at dummy half, out of him by now? If it's not possible, why give him an option in his favour?
Our whole culture seems to be about relaxed mediocrity these days. It's fine for Freddy and the NSW superstars to frolic barefoot in the grass for inspiration, but our boys need some serious attention to detail. I'll take any coach that can bring that right now.
