Official Dogs sign Leo Thompson (2026)

Doggies supporter for 40 years mate.. Just checking any info their forum might have... Interestingly they think they are on par with us and raiders.
Oh my bad read it like your saying it now your copying from their forum.

Carryannis just said on SEN that Thompson's partner has family in Canberra and that's where they met.. Also he is close with Tapine. He also said Raiders are offering huge money and we "haven't tabled an offer yet..".. WTF r we waiting for?
He's off to Raiders

Can’t wait for @Joelmcevoy2 reaction to this news then….

For the 400th time, the only time we make an official offer is when the player commits (or shows commitment) to our club.

Why would we make an offucual offer to someone that doesn't want to play for us and just uses us as a bargaining tool?

It's clear when someone has zero business skills and experience....

Guess that’s another no for us then.

Probably, but he is massively overrated on here tbh.

He was on the market before the Pacific Series yet he didn't justify elite money. That's a worry.

He is a solid first grader. Nowhere near elite or even a top tier prop. The desperation for anyone who is a middle forward on here is amazing. As I have said many times. I would welcome him into our team. He is a good player. Not on overs though.

He walks straight in as probably our best middle. Which is a reflection of where as a club we are at. Without experienced big men.

I would prefer to put faith in our young guys than pay overs for Thompson.

Well said, this should be well known after how many plodders have come and gone the last few years,we want players who want to be apart of the club and be proud of it not just taking a pay cheque

drugs, drugs & more drugs. It's legal & delivered to your door in 5 minutes by a 12-year-old.
@ASSASSIN ... I'm not liking this. Someone is undercutting our work down there in Canberra.

I think we'd better start visiting some local primary schools and fucking up some year 6 lads for delivering goods for free.

Go get the limo, we've got work to do

Canberra can have him. He's a good prop but the market is crazy when someone like him gets 800k plus. And it will only be even more inflated when desperate new clubs like Perth and PNG come in and need to fill a squad.

Which is why I prefer Gus' method of buying more youngsters than paying massive overs for established FGers.

I guess one thought is he is still very young. Besides Tino and haas I don’t think any prop has been in that convo. E.g tapine afb fish etc all took some time. Knights must go wtf after releasing tapine

Spot on with this.

My way of thinking is that the club is still a relative unknown to people as from the outside we've had just one semi decent year. So, it still seems like a bit of a gamble which I understand.

But anyone within the club knows this team is going places, and last year's improved performances were only just a start.

Once we have another top year people and potential new signings will take us more seriously.

It's best to wait till then and players join us for the right reasons rather than simply money.

If Thompson wants the cash then goodbye. Just like May. Like Hunt.

All of them will be kicking themselves within a year, and I'm completely comfortable saying that.

I love a new signing, but we need to be patient and trust the process as it's that process which has got us back to where we are. Going against it now will only be detrimental to the team.

Bring on '25 I say and let's show these idiots that our dynasty has just begun
