And you think you know more than Khawaja and the Aussie side from the lofty position of your armchair?
I know Konstas faced up to the first ball, as was his wish. He ended up smashing a quickfire 60 and became an instant cult hero, yet you are still looking for things to complain about.
Sure, he played a risky innings and had a little luck, but he was obviously given license to play that way. You think he would have played any differently if he’d watched the first over from the non-striker’s end?
I don’t think you understand much about basic human psychology, to be honest. You get a character like Konstas who thrives on getting himself into a contest as quickly as possible and you let them do it. Konstas is a confident guy who likes to get amongst it and you want him wrapped in cotton wool.
You are taking a traditionalist view of the game, but what you don’t realise is some players like Konstas and Head are more effective if you don’t take a traditionalist approach.
