The way they did mansour they can’t claim shit. Not saying it was bad business. Though that’s it. It’s business. He stood loyal and loved that place. Time came for a business decision and they selected to move him on asap. Suck a dick.

And only made 2 grand finals in the last 30 years (going from 1992).

Also importantly they have only made the prelim final 4 times in the last 30 years (2003, 2004, 2014 and 2019). Thats a shit record.

We have made 6 grand finals and 10 prelim finals in that timeframe and they carry on like they are the fuckin St George team of the 60's
In some ways you've explained why they're carrying on right now.

Put it this way. If you generally have to get to work on the bus or pushbike, but somehow wind up being picked up in a limousine for a few weeks you enjoy it while it lasts. Most people who've never ridden in limo's are prone to get over excited. Some may carry on like they belong in there. This is the current situation for Penrith.

The way Penrith are currently reacting you'd think they've never experienced a salary cap before.

Thankfully it sounds like they're identifying high upside and younger players from most clubs and seem to be unwilling to pay massive overs for certain players, so that gives me confidence.. Paying more for big targets seems to be a possibility but then it would be worth it..

Obviously we need some more experience as well to round out the squad and provide leadership but unfortunately there aren't a lot of quality older players available that you'd want to give multiple years to outside of Finucane and Taupau and who knows what they'd be asking for..
Did Warburton say " We will poke the bear " ?
It's Warburton :tonguewink:

Lol, Nothing in comparison to the likes of the Roosters and Parra who took 3 of our best players (Mason, Ogre, Anasta & Dymock, McCracken, Pay) who all represented Australia or NZ.

Hetherington & Naden unwanted, Burton 3rd or 4th string halve until they realised he’s got some talent

This is just crap they dont want Naden. Obvious through signing Momo etc. If we should want him and how much we should pay for him is another story.

Coming from close people to him, he is ready to redeem himself !
I certainly hope so too !!!
That’s great news for Naden overall
Everyone makes mistakes in life and deserves a chance, redeem himself and prove how good a player he really is.
I‘m confident this guy will be a gun for us.
