Yeah but here's the thing... you take it to court.
Judge: Were you doing 100kph ?
You: No I was doing slightly over your honour.
Judge: So you admit to speeding just not 10kph over?
You: Yes.

Game over right there.

Under 10kph generally you are okay because they'll wait for someone going faster to come by. But if he's ending shift and you trigger their LIDAR, you'll get pulled over.

NSW Police normally set them 8-12kph over, but other states could set them as low as 5kph over.
Victoria Police are the worst.

I got done 4kms over. I argued so much with the police officer, I couldn’t believe it. Then found out VicPolice have a tolerance of 2kms per hour over the limit!

One hour later I was across the border in NSW letting my feelings known to the Mexicans

How good is your driving record?
Used to be really bad when I had high testosterone 15 years ago. Now this is my first fine since 2011.

Last time the pig got me for driving through the boom gates when the lights were still flashing , even though the boom gates were almost at 75 degree up and the train was long gone.

That was $300!

Both pretty much..

Qld is known for being lethal... NSW depends on the copper... I had an 79 in 60 reduced to a Under 10ph over after I showed the police officer my GPS still showed the road as 70kph, despite apparently a sign saying 60.
ACT won't miss you.

$1811 fine. 6 points. 3 month suspension.

Made his quota in a hot minute.

Speaking of driving.
Bankstown residents, wtf is wrong with you?
I’ve just moved back here from outer west and you guys only have a small cruise down Marion street from the outer suburbs.
You carry on like you are driving across country.

I had some old cocksucker Arab try running me into a parked car on south chapel road, I didn’t slow down, I wanted in to his lane so I could get ready to get back in left lane.

Obviously Hassan has never dealt with a crazy former speed freak dumb Aussie like myself?
He wound down his window and was crying like an old bitch saying “you stupid, you stupid fucking idiot”

I replied with “nah mate YOU ARE, let’s get one thing perfectly clear, you’re the one with the lower I.Q”

He had no comeback, wound up his window and casually accepted defeat in front of his wife!

Stay the fuck out of my way Bankstown.
I don’t care who it is or if you drive an SUV or 4WD.

Even you coked out looking hecktiks in your shit over rated European piece of shit cars aren’t safe!

Oh and last two times I got pulled over I never got a ticket.
One incident was for speeding and last one I thought it would be funny to be 14 in the head and hit a witches hat while waiting at a set of lights.

Maybe white privilege isn’t a myth after all :o

Yeah it sucks, but its only 1 point off your licence, and that is the main thing.

$174 is a lot of moolah, i get it, and my last fine was abut $154 (so its gone up a bit since then).

But $174 is going to be half an hour of your lawyer's time. It won't even touch the sides. Only time I would go to court would be if the offence was going to cause a loss of licence.

The following story is more than 50 years old, but relevant:

Before my parents were married, my father got pulled up by the local cop for driving around like a dickhead (he was about 20 at the time, and will admit he was a little shit). And this was back when a country cop's word was the law. He was charged with drink driving for good measure, despite not having had a drink (it was still morning). I'm not sure what the penalty was, or whether it would have suspended his licence, but he was determined to clear his good name - as a factory worker making about $30 a week.

He ended up "winning" in Court, but, my mum, if forced to recall the time, will say it cost dad around a month's pay to defend it, and my father at the time barely had two ob to rub together.

My advice: just pay the fine. Don' be an "A Current Affair" hero. Your time is worth more than that.

So , I was driving back from Warwick this afternoon and drove over a bend in a 100 kms zone when a low life- nothing better to do cop who was coming from the other side on his MOTOR BIKE put the disco lights on and signalled me to pull over. I immediately glanced at my speedo (without putting my foot on the brakes) and it was hovering around just above 100 kms/hr but not even close to 110 km/hr mark.

I pulled over, the **** cop asked me what was the speed limit in the area and I replied it is 100km/hr. He asked me what speed was I doing and I replied "probably 100 km/hr" , he asked me to go up a bit and I said may be 102 km/hr and he responded it was 110 km/ hr as detected by his mobile speed camera.

I argued back that I was definitely not doing 110km/ hr. To which the Qld government revenue maker said that his speed gun is showing that I was doing 110 km/hr. After debating around the laws of physics from the accuracy of speed gun to the car travelling on a bend and me being adamant that I was no where near 110 km/ hr , he asked me to challenge his fine in the court and the basturd gave me a $174 fine.

I just want to know if any one else has been caught speeding by the dick heads on their moving vehicles or motor bikes and been penalised for driving 10 kms over the speed limit in a 100 zone and that too on the bend on the road. Has any one challenged it and been successful?

Don't they need to have to have the evidence / recording of like 3 seconds of continuous driving above the speed limit? this **** caught me on a bend on the road while he too was travelling in the opposite direction.

Should I challenge this fine? if so on what grounds?

any advice would be appreciated.
unless you have solid proof that you were travelling 100km or below you're going to have to plead guilty but a good driving record should get you off..due to past set precedences

No speeding ticket in last 7 years.

Good enough?
I think 7 years is long enough that's the magic number for most official records to be wiped clean.

Bad credit is 5 years, health records are 7 years, driving records probably in that vicinity.. Sorry not sure

My mum got done for going through a red light speed camera and claims she wasn’t speeding.
She had a clean driving record for over 15 years before this incident and she swore she didn’t speed or go through a red light.

I told her she has to be wrong because I’ve tested the precision of these cameras and never been done!

Anyway she tried to appeal it to keep her points and she still had to pay the fine and lost points.
Like all the wogs used to say in high school “this is a fucked up dumb skippy convict nation that’s lost the plot”.

You may have been doing 110km/h.
Driving on a bend slows the car significantly due to the increased friction with the road. In the time he signaled you, you looked at him in your mirror, lifted your foot, and looked at the speedo you could’ve easily shed 7-8km/h.

The New South Wales government have a state plan to ensure every citizen, no matter how honest at least receive one fine or conviction in their lifetime.

You know you live in a low down scumbag state when they go around fining old people for watering their lawn with a garden hose!

My grandparents grew up in Yugoslavia under a socialist regime and even they didn’t get fined for using water!

I bet she didn't appeal it at court.. If she went to court she could get off.

I got off a $1400 fine by going to court.
I also got off 2 red light offences by going to court

Yeah my mum is stupid like that.
If I tell her to do something logical she will tell me I’m stupid.
If you come in 5 minutes later her and tell her to do the same thing I just said, even if she doesn’t know you?
She will take your advice and run with it!

I think maybe it’s time to put my mother in a home? Lol

I really think you shouldve moved the physics discussion into the melting point of tyres
