A thread to discuss and show little life hacks you've thought up yourself.

Here's my way of storing garden tools whilst renting.

IMAG1922.jpg

$100 of Ikea Ivar shelving and side supports, $20 of MDF from Bunnings, and 30 minutes to screw it all together.

Given their range comes in 1.2m (seen here), 1.8 and 2.4m, the sizing is completely adaptable to how many tools you have.

This is good for when you need to get rid of a smell quickly, great for when you're about to get raided by the police and your house smells of bong smoke.

Does it come with Visine and a pizza as a gift pack?

yep, although you've gotta work out when the meter guy comes around otherwise he'll find it.
Dig down to the elbows connected to the legs on your meter, solder in a ‘t’ piece on each side, connect a bypass line, cover with soil, close supply valve.

Touché, kind sir!

My building has obviously 'shifted' slightly in recent months, resulting in a door handle-mechanism-screw catching on the door jamb.
Without the elastic band trick, it would remain a 40th storey first-world frustration 8-)

The elastic band in phillips head screws for grip, or when screw edges are damaged.

Get old wire coat hanger cut about a length around 40cm fold the ends about 5mm on angle drill 2 little holes back of door. Twist fuck out of it to get tension ends in hole boom you have your very own endless self closing door .
