Once international travel is allowed most of that problem goes away, his family can come and visit, from what I remember they enjoyed their time in sunshine. Plus he can go home for special occasions and to see sick relatives. That was the issue that prompted his return to ESL and it’s not so much of a problem when everyone can travel.
