i totally agree.
I dont think he would be too bad, I think he reads the play very well. He hasnt been shy in takin gon the big fellas headon in Defense either. I think he would be our best option, move Hoppa up to Centre.

Oh god no.
I still think Hoppa needs to move to the backrow lol.

Right now we are the worst team in the NRL by a country mile.

Our roster, apparently the most expensive in the NRL, is shit.

The club apparently spends more on the football department than all the other clubs except the Broncos.

Fuck we are well managed.

And let's be honest, there's no big signing for next year going to come out of the woodwork, no Cooper Cronk.

So question, who plays fullback next season?
Hoppa has to go to centre. I'm a fan of Hoppa but the team needs an x-factor at fullback in attack.

I've watched Abbey play. He looks terrible, way off 1st grade standard.

Anyone with any ideas?
Mbye, Mbye and only Mbye, as far as I'm concerned he is no half and at hooker he is no better than Lichea only passes a bit quicker but does not defend as well.

Agree mate. Mbye can ball play a wee bit but his pace is his strength

Brown is solid at 9 or halves plus kicks well and goal kicks too

Cleeland can just run amok

Foran can pull the strings
I dont know much about Cleeland but here is is having a go.if we dropped all our structure and let him loose and let foran control when needed with moses sniffing round back there's possibility for attacking footy.
We need someone who is wise and a young talented live wire who plays what he sees .
We are no threat to any team because we are deadset robotic theres absolutely no off the cuff stuff.theres got to be a mixture .
You hear when teams are travelling well the first thing they say " we are just enjoying our footy "
Theres no joy in haslers game plan what so ever

On the basis that we won't have a rockstar fullback (or even just a specialist one) next year because of a) cap &/or b) they wouldn't play under Des in a pink fit ...

My vote would be either Montoya or Mbyebye. Montoya obviously has the skills (although I'm not sure about his pass?), and Mbyebye has speed and pass (can he catch?).

Main concern about mbyebye is his mental application. Man he does some stoopid stuff and his defence atm is awful.

Not too sure either can read the play. Hoppa sort of can but he's too slow to get there.

That's the rumour.
Hope it's not true. Looks a good future prospect especially if and when Des is moved on

Plus we need to replace a Josh with a Josh lol

(Can't believe he's not even in our top 30 squad when he's better than at least 20 of them)

From our ranks, no one. We are struggling for a specialist fb, only Abbey shapes as that option but still away from NRL standard but throw them in the kitchen and perhaps some can handle the fire..Or adapt to it.

Really, the smart move was to go for an interim fb (someone like Michael Gordon) who also kicks goals and wouldnt cost too much coin until we freed up cash for a marquee signing or a Dylan Edwards type who is young, promising and can be a 5-10 year player for us.
If goal kicking is important, I wonder whether Holland might suit.

If Des is still here, my money is on either the mascot or the club doctor to play fallback.

Just do it now. He could make a decent hole running forward
Lewis and Lawrence are similar players and have been playing some of their footy in that position so its a good idea.. but I just think he needs a year or two to fully fill his body in. His a player worth keeping at the club for a while.
