countries complaining about refugee intakes are the ones who are actually creating them in the first place.

You dont want refugees in this world? stop bombing the shit out of their homes.

Ahahaha I see old stats from 2013, try 2017
so in 2017 US took the most refugees but till 2013 Pakistan, Iran, Lebanon, Turkey , Jordan took the most refugees in the world?

US intake of refugee has been dropping since 2015 and here is a proof from your own website you quoted. So US was already taking less now it is lower than the less numbers they were taking?

In 2015, the U.S. admitted 69,920 refugees, unchanged from the previous year. In 2017, however, the number of refugee admissions dropped sharply, according to the George W. Bush Presidential Center, which cited State Department data. It was the lowest figure since 2002. President Donald Trump has issued a number of executive orders affecting immigration policy in recent months, including orders aimed at strengthening border security and immigration law enforcement, and improving screenings of those seeking admission to the U.S.

roil German domestic politics. Most immigrants came from Romania, Syria, Poland and Bulgaria. In 2016 roughly 23 percent of the population had an immigrant background, meaning either they or one of their parents was born without German citizenship.

By contrast, the number of first-time asylum applications fell sharply in 2017 from the previous year – from 722,000 to just under 200,000. Applicants came primarily from Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Eritrea and Iran.

HA HA HA on you.

Are you being racist there?? America takes in the most migrants and refugees than any other country in the world
Depends on your measurements. If we look at net migration (the amount of immigrants who have entered the country minus the amount of people who have left the country). Over the last 5 years USA has taken in around 15 people per 1,000 population. As a comparison Australia has taken in around 45 people per 1,000 population. Lebanon has taken in 253 per 1,000 in the same amount of time.

If we're focused on actual numbers ignoring existing population and landmass, the USA is clearly in front taking in 5 million people in the last 5 years.

It's important to point out that the US has over 325 million people and if you ignore the land mass side and focus only on pure numbers when comparing immigration rates, then you're selling the stats wrong.

To put it another way. Say there are two blocks of land. One is 1,000 square acres while the other is 3 square metres. Both properties have 20 people living on them. By that standard both properties should be equally comfortable for each group.

I think it's fair to say the US are taking in enough migrants and refugees to warrant a bit of respect .

Definitely. People often think that they're all closed border nationists, but they're not. They take in a crap load of people each year.

That's true but the data might include illegal immigrants too which could be refugees just waiting for the status so that they get better welfare
