Considering Dorothy has played pretty much rubbish for the last three years and never been dropped I think maybe Des flicked him now to protect his own arse ..is his contract not up for renewal /extension and he knows Dorothy will not be here next year so make it "look like' he is doing something sensible to get the board off his back???????

Kinda feel sorry for him. Hope this is the kick up the arse he needed.

About time - but so sad as fans we get excited about our coach finally doing his job - the lack of accountability for continued poor performance has become an absolute joke that no one can ignore - I hope Dorothy turns it around but if not - bad luck - he had more than enough time to get it right!

@Mr Invisible What did I tell you?? ;)
Did you hear this earlier??
It was forthtold in a prophecy by TG a week odd ago that the TRex was approaching extinction.

You know TW isn't playing to his full potential but honestly the guy is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet... I know this counts for nothing around here but I'm just deploring you to think about that before you start ripping into him personally.
I'm a short arse, and he's quite possibly the biggest human being I've ever seen. Absolutely massive...

I have chatted with him a few times. I recall the first was after we had signed him, and he was still at Manly. He was out one day watching NSW Cup with Taupau and I noticed him and just went "welcome to the Bulldogs", and he smiled and thanked me, then invited me to watch the game with them.

Taupau sadly these days has developed an ego from his time at the Tigers (which is sad) as he genuinely used to be a really nice humble bloke as well.

TRex is very quietly spoken and I honetsly think he's struggled to rebuild the same friendships he had whilst over at Manly. Add in personal problems last year, changes to shoulder charge rules, and he's never been able to get back into the game like he used to.

........

I wouldn't want to be playing for Wenty this weekend. Islanders are very pride driven by nature, and this would be a huge slap to his pride to be dropped. I reckon this might be what Tony needs to reawaken his passion for the game.

He can reawaken his passion somewhere else.

Can I just add that the reason why JT was released had nothing to do with his ability .. We all know he had to be dropped due to a very seedy incident
No he was not. There was no incident involving JT

You cant tell me all these comments from baa and rumours regarding des has finally forced des to wake up or go
I think it would have happened a bit earlier had we not needed to swap a very talented young player with the Warriors.
