Could just as easily be the coach/structure/set-up...whatever.

You could level a similar criticism at Api & the Tigers - I don't think the problem is Api.

Regardless, Reynolds could do a job for us.
1. He is better than Flanagan. I have been willing to give Flanno a go and hope he can improve (clean slate 'n' all), offer something, not be crap; but he is stifling whatever limited attack we've been able to muster - we can't do it anymore.

2. I don't think KO is quite ready yet. Probably will be soon-ish, but still probably 4-10 matches away (maybe more) from being viable.
You could chuck him in the deep-end early and hope (and maybe the gamble will come off), but there is a real risk of doing more harm than good.

3. The role is temporary. It is just enough to cover the gap until another half is ready to go.

I think eventually, we are going to have to mould Burton into a 7 (Nico Hynes style), even if he is unconventional/not as instinctive.
He already has the long and short kicking game.
His limitation (area for improvement) is passing/set-up while in attack.
We could (eventually) cover that by incorporating a running 5/8th (most likely Oloapu but possibly rajab), when they're ready.
or could just as easily be he was never very good in the 1st place and is now old and shitter (is that a word?)

Dumb and dumber - take your pick apparently.

So much blame on flanno but none on Burton. He needs to step the fuck up also and run the ball. He did it last week and played great game. Today it was non existent again. Would love to see KO or rajab get a run. Reynolds is rubbish club are idiots for putting him in top 30

Mate - he got dumped by Hull FC who came 9/12 for not being good enough.

He's there for club attitude - not for any footballing reason. If you think someone who got dumped from the Tigs and then a bottom ranked super league club is the answer - again - you're asking the wrong question.
Bro
Ppl forget this very valid and very obviosu point.

I strongly recommend ppl here follow rugby league at large and not just Dogg or nrl games

There is a lot of insight to be gained by following esl etc.
For reasons such as this.
Another is all the ‘let’s get George Williams’ comments when he isn’t even top 2 halves over theee

LOL before the season people saying Reynolds won’t be anywhere near the side, or a few minutes off the bench eventually. Turns out his the best option for starting halfback. Don’t get why we didn’t address it in the off-season KO is young you can’t fall back on him and I believe rajab can’t be selected for a while. Reynolds will do okay for me issue is sometimes there can be more bad then good, better than nothing. Averillo to halfback, big no.
Playing Reynolds would give Rajab more game time in the halves, so it could actually be a good thing for both sides. People will bag Reynolds, but he wouldn't be worse then Flange.

Burton has more runs today than Reed did. What can u do when the opposition isn't looking at your 7?

I’d love a quick fix but we have some cracking halves coming through we are going to need patience. I don’t think there is many out there as quick fixs

No, it is the combo that doesn't work.
And when looking at Burton/Flanagan, it is Flanagan that needs to take a seat first.
Why? Because Burton has the higher upside (obviously), he's on a long-term deal (so, we have a big interest in making it work), and Flanagan won't be here next year (thank F*(k)

One try. He's also responsible for creating a fair chunk of our points this season. Cry more.
I agree. Averilo is by no means the reason we lost today. Our forwards were simply dominated, and we struggled to play our style of football because of it. With 4 props out, and the warriors massive weight advantage im not surprised.

Kyle is very frustrating to watch in attack, because he doesn't have anything in attack

BUT, we only have 3 attacking players in our team who are out and out attackers and dangerous attackers - Burton, Kikau and Fox, and they are all on the left side.

Kiks & Fox are not being utilised and given the opportunities to showcase there attack. We need alot more from Burton in attack to free up kiks which will free up the Fox

Burton doesn't hit the line giving Kiks the opportunity to hit half a hole, let alone a clear hole

He passes way too early and Kiks is easier to handle when he is receiving the ball flat footed while the defence is up in his face instead of the defence being on the backfoot from Burton hitting the line and Kiks by his side waiting for that pass running full tilt

CC also needs to get Flanagan and Perham stack that left side in attack, when Kiks can be used as a decoy drawing in defenders and forcing overlaps for the likes of Burton and Fox (one would hope).....Its all mix and match, training over and over and executing it on game day

I agree with the majority the Flanagan offers SFA in attack and yes, you wanna tear the hair off your head, but we really need more from Burton to utilise our Ferrari and AMG

That last 10 minutes, Kyle & Burto shoukd of stood up but went MIA....Poor Mahoney went for the hero play because those two didnt step up, demand the ball and grab the game by the balls

Also people calling for Karl or Rajab have no idea

They are no where near ready for first grade and it is a career killer for them to be thrown in now especially with an inexperienced 6 & 1

1 & 7 were always going to be our weakness for this season. Middle forwards were another position we were low on men.

Our 1 is doing ok. Not setting the world on fire but not costing us games. The 7 is not doing enough. Hasn’t added any bows to his game. Isn’t taking on the line. Isn’t kicking much. Can’t get repeat sets. Burton isn’t doing much himself. But the flange lack of direction, attack and creativity surely doesn’t help. Moses wasn’t the answer either. But Atleast he has a boot that can kick you out of trouble if needed.

Not sure if we are looking at someone for halfback. But Reynolds won’t work with Burton KO isn’t ready which is the same as Hayward and Rajab.
Why wouldn't Reynolds work with Burton? Flange doesn't engage the line, and Reynolds does. Already an upgrade.

Because he's not actually that good at as striking a ball, very inconsistent. His end over end bombs are never deep enough, almost always a good 10m+ too shallow.
