Idk if this was a joke or not, but, Stu Laundy was on the radio and said he is asking his dad to move to sponsor the tigers and how Benny Elias is asking them personally as well
the principal at Brydens is a long term Tigers fan and their Chairman... might be difficult for Laundy

Arthur and Stu are Tigers supporters, Craig is the Bulldogs supporter in the Laundy family.

If they do leave I hope Warburton has a $3m replacement on line.

Always a Bulldog
What is it with our sponsors being Tigers fans. Gary Johnston from Jaycar was a Tigers fan also.

I can understand if you were wealthy enough to sponsor your favourite footy club doing that. However spending money sponsoring the opposition to me doesn’t make any sense.

Arthur won’t live forever and Craig is the heir apparent and he’s a fervent Bulldogs supporter.

They go for the tigers but they’re shit so instead they sponsor a team who will give them some value for the sponsorship money they have spent

Any idea how much his sponsorship is worth annually?
Not sure what it is now but I was told by a board member a while back the major sponsor should be valued at around $1m per season

Might be different now, but I remember for a long while the Bulldogs jersey was the best seller behind the Wallabies jersey.

Not bad for a club jersey only to be beaten by a national team jersey...

If we lose Burton, we will recover. If we lose Laundy, it will plunge the club into a new dark age.
We loose Burton and we have no good halves. We’re set back another year and we won’t be a top 8 side without him. Last thing we need is his departure.

I can't believe the fear ridden supporters on TK, we forget that the Laundry's 1st year was free, the 2nd 500k and the 3rd 500k, what's more the club was hoping to move the Laundry to a sleeve sponsor this year, why do it if there wasn't a better sponsor in the waiting ?
Don't forget that the Andersons were desperate the Laundrys are ambitious and a million dollar is a small price to pay for the CEO position at OUR CLUB.
Stay tuned for some good news !

While Laundy is upset about the sacking of his close friend Trent Barrett, this has more to do with the Bulldogs ignoring his offer to mentor players and provide financial and career advice to help them transition into retirement.

Laundy’s two-year sponsorship deal is up for renegotiation.

While the jersey exposure for his chain of hotels has always been important, Laundy’s real passion and motivation was to help the players.

Yet he feels unwanted.

“I made it clear when I first signed up that I wasn’t there just to put my money in,” Laundy said. “My expertise is not football but this was to be a partnership.

“I didn’t want a seat on the board and I didn’t want to get in the way of management.

“However, there were areas like talking to the players in a mentoring role.

“I’m 81, I’ve been around a bit and I wanted to help some of the young fellas.

“The average career span for an NRL player is only five years.

“I want to tell them to invest in bricks and mortar rather than flash cars.

“I’ve helped a lot of young fellas in the past and I can speak about success.

“Anyway, they’ve ignored my offer.”

You look at the behaviour of the likes of perennial ratbag Paul Vaughan.

How he walked out of training and spat abuse at the waiting media on Monday.

And how Laundy could have spoken to him around respect, decency and being a role model.

You think of the gambling issues in the game that have ruined so many players.

The billionaire hotelier makes no secret of his disappointment surrounding recent events at Belmore.

“At the moment, I’m not sure what I’ll do in the future,” Laundy said.

“We’re due to have talks now because the sponsorship is up at the end of the season.

“I’d be lying if I said I’m not disappointed.”

Laundy is actually a mad-keen Wests Tigers supporter.

He has become close to their general manager Tim Sheens, who invited him to the Wests Tigers chairman’s suite for the match against his Bulldogs on Friday night at Leichhardt Oval.

He is the only sponsor that comes out and sooks all the time where better off with out him
Fuck off Buzz. Another negative article because he's desperately trying to find something bad about us. Kind of reminds me of an alcoholic raiding empty bottles in a liquor cabinet.
