I actually think it’s getting closer. The fact that Flanagan finished the game at dummy half with Reed moving to 7 at the backend of the game. I think this would have been the hook for Flanagan had the injuries and bench been smashed yesterday. If Flanagan is in the team I will not watch another game this year. I don't care who plays half as long as it is not him.
He offers nothing. Throwing a young guy in who has some skill, it would be a hard learning curve but he will benefit from it for next season. Why keep playing someone who wont be there?
I think Reynolds is cooked. He probably should go back to Reggies. As soon as he comes up he looks like he's 5 steps behind the pace and if he doesn't give away a penalty he either slips at the line or the ref calls him out because he's offside from marker. This Reynolds experiment is over.I know people hate Burton and want him moved to centre, but for Reynolds or Rajab to play in the halves instead of him? Some of these suggestions are hilarious.
To be honest I don’t think any team has the depth to cover the injury toll we have, especially losing our strike weapons so early in the game the last two weeks. The balance of the team is completely out of whack at the moment.
No speed in the backline
No creativity in the halves
2nd row looks toothless
Major issues we are unable to resolve as we have no depth
I didn't see your post. I posted the same back 5. That looks the best to me too. Okunbur should never play wing in FG again. At least Burns has good hands and is reliable enough even if he isn't fast.I think Reynolds is cooked. He probably should go back to Reggies. For this week I want to see Oloapu and Skelton given their debuts. I am going to assume Averillo is out. So that means Declan, Skelton, Burns (if fit) and Alamoti should be our backline.
1. Perham
2. Skelton
3. Burns
4. Alamoti
5. Casey
I didn’t see NSW cup this week but I noticed Papalii was picked on the bench. If he isn’t starting fullback in NSW Cup in round 7. I cannot see him being picked in first grade in round 11.1: Perham (until Papalii is eligible in R11)
2: Casey
3: Burns
4: Alamoti
5: Skelton
6: Burton
7: Oloapu
Assuming Averillo is out. If not, I'd much rather him at fullback than Perham.
It wasn't because he was struggling for form. It's because they wanted to try Rajab there. You're right, he's unlikely to start this season. But unless Rajab converts to fullback well then Averillo and Papalii are the only two other fullback options.I didn’t see NSW cup this week but I noticed Papalii was picked on the bench.
