I'm trying to be optimistic and say that the smarter of our young players will build character now for the years to come. Experiencing narrow losses to teams like storm and south will explain to them what those teams do to close a game out. It takes time.
And they gotta learn to show up when they play lesser teams like saints parra and warriors. Those floggings do nothing for their game development.
When the time comes to spend on marquee players, we hope these current players are ready and conditioned to win.

To beget winners we need to bring in winners way we are travelling you think guns wanna come to us we gotta pay way overs These days only a handful of players are worth overs the rest are average nurture the juniors I couldn’t give a shit about buying a comp I’d rather have an ongoing production line be competitive year in year out

I'll have to agree with you. Most of us saw this type of season coming so my hopes haven't really been shot down lol. The young guys will be better off for it.
Ofa, R. Smith, Meaney will be great players in a couple of years imo.
You know what man, a lot of people actually didn’t. They didn’t look at our squad objectively at all and I think they’re the ones most butt-hurt at the moment.

If you go back and look at some of the “bold” predictions of a lot of Kennel folk, they just couldn’t take off the Bulldogs spectacles...

Lets not also forget the ref won the game for Melbourne with that bs penalty try to Melbourne, other than that we were all over them like a rash. Just like last night the ref handed Souths the win, 90% of 50/50s went to Souths hell they were even getting penalties for putting themselves in bad positions I.E the jumping in the air for a kick and not getting tackled but landing on the opposing player who is trying to attack the ball, surprised it wasn't a penalty try to Melbourne hahaha, we defended really well in that second half, I see a lot of heat on Okunbur lets not forget from that scrum were he dropped it souths actually moved before ball was out should have been a penalty straight away, I was happy for play on though until the same thing happened to Souths were our two outside players moved and Souths got down the field lost the ball and we come back for a penalty to Souths, BULLSHIT UNFAIR PLAY how can you not penalize Souths for the same thing but penalize the dogs for it, hell why not just give it as a penalty try to Melbourne to, Souths dint win that just like Melbourne didn't beat us the referee beat us for them both. But the worst thing here is with the heat on the coach is the first to go then players, which is a real shame as we have some really talented young guys there, it is also not fair to blame the players or fire the coach, how is it his fault that your dumb **** selectors chose to spend $1.4 million on dickhead Foran who walked out on 2 clubs leaving them $2million in the hole, why on earth would ya buy him, now its a bit over a year since we bought him and look what it did to the club, we couldn't even offer our captain James Graham at the time a contract nor keep Mbye nor Reynolds, but we needed Aaron Woods at $500,000 oh wait we are still above the salary cap, so Woods goes mid season, oh and then at the end we lose both Morris brothers Klemmer and a few other players leaving us with 3 name players really Hopoate Tolman and Jackson, now you wanna go blame the coach or the players, that's ridiculous its the selectors that should be fired they put our club in this spot there heads must roll, just think if we HAD NOT of bought fuckwit Foran how much better position we would be in, and how much more experience and talented our new guys like Lewis Cogger and Meeny even the new forwards we got would be looked at in a different light because we would have had the players there to back them up, but alas no we have Foran, which brings us to the saddest point in losing a coach who is doing the best with a pair of deuces trying to beat a royal flush, to potentially losing young talent who could serve us very well in the future, fire the selectors get rid of Foran and start again next year this one is gone for us, lets build a side for the future:grinning: What a decision to buy Foran eh look at our once great club now, it's in tatters.

I'm sick of reading in here players like okunbor, Lewis and other rookies are shit. They aren't shit, they are inexperienced. It's hard when u have the least experienced spine in nrl history. Neither Okunbor or Lewis have any experienced mentors in the side.

Foran was always going to have a huge impact on our chances this year, and myself and others said so here pre season. Cogger might end up ok later but hes even less experienced than Lewis. We need Forans experience in the halves otherwise the bus is being driven by L platers. Foran being out now has screwed us. By the time a cogger - Lewis combo gets traction our season will be over.

If Foran goes down again this year we have to let him go and spend his money on someone worth that much not 5 more juniors. I have agreed with getting juniors in so far, but now all we have is juniors.

While Forans current injury isnt related to his previous ones, and more unlucky than anything, some players playing style can also make them injury prone.

I fear in the depths of winter when we are playing at 7.30 on a Saturday night and the motivation will be low, back to back to back 50 point losses on the cards

That’s going to be our season efforts like that were we will be in the game like against the storm and rabbits but they have experienced players who can close out games and the 2 players we need most are injured there is not enough experience in our side and there will be the games like the dragons who are gonna lay the boot in
Every man and his dog knows we have to rebuild and when money come available to spend it wisely I’m sure they sitting behind the scenaes working out who they want for 2020-21 when ever all these backend contract are up
Look at parra paid over for a lot of there players done nothing Newcastle held off and recruited massively over the last 18 months
I think we gonna do the same
Except now it’s a whole new generation of players sadly there is no loyalty with players or club it’s a business hence why the premiership window is only 3-5 years tops

Souths were shit because we dragged them down to a street fight

Kudos to us for not getting spanked

If Pay drops Lichaa we will win more games because when he comes on down the stretch with game in the balance he completely fkd our attack, momentum any chance of winning

This falls squarely on Pay for his love for him

What other team has a specialist hooker on bench and plays one prop from bench?

We are already disadvantaged before we take the field

Yeah I did mate but they won’t be the only ones I really don’t want this kid to be one of the ones that come back to haunt us and if Lewis gets behind a decent forward pack he’ll go to the next level and I know for a fact the broncs frothing to get him in their halves
Lewis behind that up and coming broncos pack would go close to dominating the comp again...

I was waiting for someone to say that... We actually sparked and started gaining momentum when Lichaa came on... The whole game turned, then he reverted to some of his dumb passing like the rubbish ball to Elliot to close the game. Regardless his useless off the bench if that's meant to be an impact player through the middle.

Your spot on about The Prince. We havent seen anywhere the best in this kid has a long way to go he will be in high demand, i do feel he loves the dogs though
I like how Mortimer was having a nice dnm with Lachie before the game. Get the right players around Lewis and he'll lead us to a premiership.

Hasn't helped Nikorima or Fat barba. Broncos have the same problem and will also be 1-5 after raiders beat them. Difference is their halves have experience but are ordinary, and ours are too inexperienced to steer the ship. Same result. Bad halves, bad year.

Fuck yeah bro and Meaney defending in the line after splitting his hand open and then coming back on after getting it stitched was old school tough as well these kids are just going to get better and better
That was a good effort from Meaney. He was really inconvenienced after injuring himself but did not shirk his responsibilities. Showed some ticker.

He would have been in plenty of pain but he kept turning up in that set you can’t coach that

See above BUT Souths are packed with good solid players plus marquee players, they should have put 20+ points on us atleast…..and didn't.
Ten rep players from internationals to S.O.O and All stars etc. in the Souths side compared to four for us plus their spine has 432 games to our 78 ( Johnson 113: Walker 76: Reynolds 164: Cook 79)
(Meaney 9: Cogger 23: Lewis 15: JMK 31).

Tolman played 70 quality minutes tonight Tom Bargeass played 24 minutes and George 26 off the bench. When Aiden left the field comments were made to the Bargeass twins that the minutes that Tolman played is what a good prop should be doing not the pussy total combined 50 minutes of those two. George was originally named to start as well....

Nikorima and Milford are scrapers... Lewis can control a team.
