Lets hope youre rite.
Btw those players that youve mentioned above have some handy 1st picks in front of em so i wouldnt look too much into that.
In most cases, players that are too good for reserve grade generally get offers that are too tempting to refuse and move on. Robson was in demand, but Brittain wasn't signed until after he'd been without a club for a long while.

Sorry that you are giving up just as it was getting interesting.

I'm not sure what the Thompson signing for 2021 has to do with not signing Robson or Britain for 2020. For starters we didn't have the Cap space available this year that we have next year. Plus how do you know who we have or haven't signed for a hooker in 2021? Or might sign in the next 12 months? You are comparing today's oranges with next year's apples, meaningless.

The club tried to sign Api after they confirmed the signings of Britt and Stimson, so they clearly still had, and likely still have some money to spend for 2020.

The club was offering Api around 500k late last season and they didn't sign him. After that they signed Katoa on near the minimum. So your argument of there not being enough funds to sign a hooker doesn't hold water...

The club were negotiating with Robson and Grant early last season and Api after that so clearly the club doesn't think JMK is the long term answer..

Both JMK and Katoa are band-aid solutions and hopefully we can find a long term solution to a vital spine position soon as it's been a problem for years now.

Please read what I actually posted, “we didn’t have the space available this year that we have next year”, which is not the same as “we don’t have any space this year”. So, using your example, say, API wanted $600k and we had $500k available this year BUT we would have $600k available next year.

Plainly JMK and Katoa are being given this season (or part of this season, as we still have space plus Foran’s $350k) to prove their worth. If they don’t make the grade then we have Cap space next year to recruit.
