Meaney has been better but he he had his worse game last week. Some of his defence was beyond pathetic. I'm increasingly thinking he would be better suited at fullback, but overall he just doesn't seem physically strong enough for first grade.

Meany isnt a winger, surpised people expect him to play well out of position.

Look at Papenhuzen, has Billy Slater and a professional focussed club with their shit together to improve his game. Not saying Meany is close to being a Papenhuzen but what can we expect when our rookies havent been given the best opportunity to improve at first grade level.

Yeah, I totally agree. I watch him and think just back yourself. Others call him a cat and I get it. Hopefully if Trent sees something in him, that hes worth persisting with, we will see a shift. He wont make it if he doesnt find some mongrel. We still dont have an A grade FB so who knows what will happen.

Hoppa is still a reasonable fullback, just hope he doesn't spill anymore of those high balls and as a team we can't let the ball bounce.
Our halves don't have the creativity of theirs but we can still pressure them.
On the last Lewis needs to get himself into place where he has time to kick, running the ball dead is a waste, every kick is an opportunity to create.

Reasonable.... you are joking right? terrible under the high ball, constantly caught out of position and when he is put into a hole he gets run down by front row forwards because he is slow as fuck!

Meaney is never going to be successful winger in the modern game. He is fullback and nothing else. if developed his passing game he would be an asset other wise its reserve grade for him next year. maybe Barrett can work with him and improve him. If no more back 5 signings we should look like

Meaney best position is FB, in fact I believe that he is a better FB than Hoppa, yet with our lack of centres SG weakens that position even further by playing our best and only centre at FB.

He will get there... His got plenty about him, most of all is his quick learning. Aggressiveness will come once he fills in a bit and has some weight about him.

He's quick when he winds up but lacks acceleration off the mark and finds it hard to beat the first man. We don't get to see his pace much but it's there.

Still, he is improving a lot and has been one of the best in a bad bunch this year. There's no way he deserves to be dropped right now.

Im actually looking forward to the game tonight. I have zero expectations of us playing any better than previous weeks and expect Soufs to tear us a new arsehole so maybe thats why.
Losing to the Titans was hard to take.
