Let me tell you and
@Cappuccino (weird username) a story.
In the late 80s, my dad was recognised as one of the greatest contract cleaners in the sub continent.
This led him to take up a position in Beirut for a 2 years assisting with the maintenance of office block bathrooms.
During this time, he got my mum pregnant and i was born in Beirut and spent the first 4 months of my life in Lebanon before comin to Australia, in a modest house given by the government in breakfast point.
This is where i got my lebanese identity which continues until today. Even growing up I was immersed in Lebanese culture. i wore adidas, Nike air max and G Star and often ate kebabs and zatar manouches and would watch Scarface and Fat pizza growing up. Even had some lebanese friends
I even have a scarface poster from parklea markets i have even today on my wall.
So next time someone questions my lebanese heritage remember this post.
