Which is a mistake by Ciraldo because Salmon & Hayes both play in the middle & Hayes is WAY better than Salmon.
 
Would encourage anyone criticising the Salmon selection to watch the Dragons game again and pay attention to the opening 20 mins in particular. His workrate in defence, especially in halting opposition forwards from getting momentum is actually pretty impressive.
I’m not a Salmon lover by any means, he’s definitely not an attacking machine or a metre eater. But I can definitely understand why he gets picked for the sake of team balance.

Curran can play both & Sitili's best position is literally left backrower where Kikau plays.

With Salmon off the field = Bulldogs 24-4.
With Salmon on the field = Dragons 16-4.

In fairness the tries we conceded weren't really salmon direct fault

What was at fault, when we had our other forwards on, we were making inroads with our hitups and tiring out dargons players, so they'd struggle when they had the ball

But once ciro put on salmon and hayward, we lost that impact from our hit ups, giving dargons the energy to make metres in their sets

Yeah like I said, don’t think he offers a whole lot attacking wise. But I can 100% guarantee we’re a better defensive team with him on the field. The 16 points we conceded had nothing to do with him.

Except we aren't. This follows the exact same trend as last season.
 
That last 20 min double change with Haywood and Salmon to join Reed in the middle against Titans mammoth pack is going to be a slow motion car crash !

Please Ciro just put Hayes back on the bench !

We are not a better defensive team with him on the field. Also your attack impacts your defense. Stop making bs excuses for him. We're a better team when he's not on the field.
 
Hayes had his best performance and got dropped feel bad.

Cant have a go at Cirro because we are 5th. But that was Hayes best game in the NRL. And guy is looking thicccc lately. We need size. And Sitili must be the old big bopper on the bench. Curran is a work horse. But just that game breaker. Looks like it’s just Sitili. Will be scary when king or dsf is off and they roll out dave fafita and expect Solomon and Hayward to stop him.

Forogot to say before re: Hayes, it’s not as if Ciro doesn’t like him. He was speaking in glowing terms about his performance the other day. His time will come when he is a certain starter in the 17.
