Racking up the week before our biggest game in years shows absolutely zero leadership and zero belief in the "Club first" value that the club is trying to build

Also shows incredible immaturity for a 29 year old premiership winning Origin and test player

And a selfishness beyond belief, that he did what he did, in the week before our biggest game for years, when everyone involved in the club had worked so hard to finally get the club from rock bottom and back into the finals.

To turn the whole week of preparation upside down with all the negative press, and probably worst of all, if he played , those couple of key moments that determined the game, could have been avoided and we could quite easily have won that game

For me , that isn't the type of "role model" I want the younger players in the club looking up to and following

As another poster said, his personality would probably wear thin on some people and I think after last season we now have many more "leaders" within the playing group that can lead the entire playing group in the club into the future

I think the club has 100% made the right call
Good post but I think you're missing the most important part of this whole saga.

At no point did / has JAC taken accountability for his actions.

At every point he tried to swerve and dodge answering the hard questions, continually shifting the goalposts with ever changing stories.

And this wasn't the first time.

For a team rooted in team work, accountability, mutual respect, putting in 120% for the player next to you ...

Not to be accountable for your actions is the biggest fuck you to that very culture the club is run on.

Most agree that there is a large number of players on it, and yes every weekend.
The point is what category does JAC belong to?
The casual weekend snorter or the every day chaser addict.
My opinion is the latter known by the club. Offered assistance. Turned down, culminating into this present fiasco leaving the club no
option.
He and his Solicitor thought they had a good chance of a good outcome but when his past was bought up. Game over.
Because the club has such a proven track record of supporting players battling addiction in recent years. Oh wait, it doesn’t.

Congratulations Bulldogs, you win the award for club with the highest standards. Something that literally fuck all people care about. Oh and it’s only since you signed Xerri, Tetevano and Curran that those standards are important apparently. Can’t wait for the next player to get the arse for a traffic infringement. You played yourself fools.

Watching fans from half the clubs frothing over potentially signing him all so we can uphold such high standards. Ridiculous.
Cry any fucking harder

Is JAC addicted?

I've partied with the best and will still give it a go today. Yet, I manage my shit. I once worked with a seriously high performing chick who was amazing but shot up Henry on weekends for giggles. Fair play. She managed her shit.

Did JAC ever actively consider or try to get off the white and fail? Probably not. So by definition, cannot say he's an addict. He didn't manage his shit.

Addicts I have sympathy for. People who don't manage their shit I don't. Is what it is.

It goes against the whole standards thing too. We have the highest of standards and if you don’t meet them you’ll be shown the door. Foxx was probably so worried about owning up because of that mantra. I still think of Topine and how he was thrown to the wolves. Whatever his faults, the club disowned him like he was nobody.

Gus is a megalomaniac, it’s really not hard to see. Oh we care blahblah blah. Yet we don’t care about signing some plodder who was convicted of several counts of DV. Nah get fucked.
Change profile pic and username as you said boss

Wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up at the roosters

Cheers for the input bruh.

Now amble off foxxy

I'd suggest Souffffs are very lucky to have Wayne coming back to the club as without his return JAC's bra would've also been shown the door and pics were actually taken of that at a school!

Sucks that we lost a great player and some other team will benefit. At least we save some cash I guess. Fkn moron.

It's fine to lose him if we're getting players like Hunt and May instead. If it's for nothing it's a L.
