Racking up the week before our biggest game in years shows absolutely zero leadership and zero belief in the "Club first" value that the club is trying to build
Also shows incredible immaturity for a 29 year old premiership winning Origin and test player
And a selfishness beyond belief, that he did what he did, in the week before our biggest game for years, when everyone involved in the club had worked so hard to finally get the club from rock bottom and back into the finals.
To turn the whole week of preparation upside down with all the negative press, and probably worst of all, if he played , those couple of key moments that determined the game, could have been avoided and we could quite easily have won that game
For me , that isn't the type of "role model" I want the younger players in the club looking up to and following
As another poster said, his personality would probably wear thin on some people and I think after last season we now have many more "leaders" within the playing group that can lead the entire playing group in the club into the future
I think the club has 100% made the right call
