Yep wait for 8 weeks for the results to come back. In the meantime we lose an important player for our semis. Imagine if the result is false positive.Guess all we can do is wait now.

He should have played this week. so sad for the fans who want to see the best players. For what? They reckon the results take months!
What happens if we win this week? Does he get selected next week?
You would think it would be first swab, second swab then oral test.
Why would they do first swab, oral test then second swab?
I have NFI, lucky I don't rack up....and driveI thought there was no 2nd swap as cops were called to a break in, so skipped the 2nd swab as it take mins to complete.
The oral test is the main test.
Just to be clear, those numbers are for all tests I believe. Coke generally has less interferences. The roadside drug tests are almost as bad the the at home Covid swabs. Estimates are 5-10% false positives and 10-15% false negatives. Doesn't sound like a lot at face value but, over the 22-23 financial year, in NSW:
113,955 roadside drug tests were conducted
17,593 tests returned a positive indication.
Based off the higher end of those % estimates, as many as 1759 people might have tested positive for drugs they never took and as many as 14,454 people could have had drugs in their system and just driven away.
Until the lab test is returned, it's ridiculous to be heaping shit on JAC.
In short, until the lab tests come back, this is a nothing story and JAC should be available to playI'm more confused about things now that I've read an article about it. But
- Point 1. First test is generally a vague indicator.
- Point 2. Needs two further tests to give conclusive results?
- Point 3. Officers did part of the follow up tests but didn't complete them before being called away.
Conclusion. They've at this stage got nothing on him. Won't know anything for up to 8 weeks, but this hit's the media on Monday anyway.
So it's not time to throw him under the bus for me yet. If the secondary testing comes back conclusive, I'll be a judgemental bastard in calling to rid ourselves if him for throwing another hurdle in front of our first tilt at a premiership in a long time.
If he's cleared I'll be calling for the officers involved to be investigated for how this hit the media before any results came out. Stands to reason that if they took inconclusive tests and informed the media they could make a nice payday for this.
Did he put the team first?I fully intended to only make the one post on this subject, but the timing needs to be clarified.
The generally accepted timeframes;
How long does cocaine stay in your blood?
Cocaine can be detected in your blood up to 2 days after taking it.
How long does cocaine stay in your saliva?
Cocaine can be detected in your saliva up to 2 days after taking it.
How long does cocaine stay in urine?
Cocaine can be detected in your urine up to 4 days after taking it.
How long does cocaine stay in your hair?
Cocaine can be detected on samples of your hair up to 90 days after taking it.
Friday night 10 pm to Monday morning 8 am is 52 hours, so well within the 96 hours (4 days).
Even if he took it Thursday night it would still be well within the 96 hours.
If he took it Wednesday night it wouldn't show up in the saliva test as it would be more than 48 hours (2 days).
My guess is he has had some decent legal and medical advice which is obvious from the Monday morning timing for the test. Based on the negative urine result he can legally challenge the police testing if it comes back positive.
Not necessarily, there have been a number of cases where the road side testing has been successfully challenged. That's the reason for the urine test yesterday.
Team First
They have compromised the whole protocol procedure if we believe the latest revelations and left themselves vulnerable to having the episode thrown out and looking like rank amateurs. Getting the testing process right is fundamental to law enforcement. More clarification needed. You would think it would be first swab, second swab then oral test.

Yeah, weed's the biggest deviation. Still, it speaks to the efficacy of the tests. On top of the the lack of impairment testing, as you noted earlier, our roadside drug testing is antiquated and in need of overhaul.Just to be clear, those numbers are for all tests I believe. Coke generally has less interferences.
It says an second oral sample was taken instead of a drug swipe ,because they were called to another job.not sure what the difference between them is mate.I thought there was no 2nd swap as cops were called to a break in, so skipped the 2nd swab as it take mins to complete.
The oral test is the main test.
If you fail the first test, test 3 will happen regardless of the result of test 2. They did partially complete test 2 by getting the saliva swab done, they just didn't do the quick test on itFor clarity.
First test is an indicator. As others have said the test can be unreliable (reckon 5% is about right but nothing to base that on). 2nd test basically reduces the probability of a false positive by half. Thats enough evidence to send #3 off to the lab for proper testing.
Now heres the interesting legal argument. If the 2nd test wasn't done, is there enough evidence for test #3? You cannot take body fluids for testing without permission or probable cause. Not a lawyer but thats my understanding.
They why do test 2? Especially if the turnaround on #3 is weeks +?If you fail the first test, test 3 will happen regardless of the result of test 2. They did partially complete test 2 by getting the saliva swab done, they just didn't do the quick test on it
