This is fundamentally why it cannot be a black and white decision.

Fine them if they lose with 14 and dock them if they win with 14...

It was a bullshit ruling against us at the time. That was a long time ago though and several regimes before who is in charge now. We shouldn't have been docked points then and nor should Souths now.

I understand people wanting consistency or being pissed off because we got dudded by this and as usual got way harsher punishment than anyone before or since but it's not like ours happened two weeks ago. Again, with 15 plus years since that happened, it's time to move on.

The outcome will be a fine, no doubt at all. The real outcome should be the 2 Points. They had 14 players against 12 at the time and that is a big deal IMO. I did notice the first article I saw said it was for 30 seconds and then very quickly all other articles quickly said 15 seconds trying to down play it. Even the media help the BS.

Does anyone remember a similar incident with Brisbane back in I think either 2003 or earlier. Their 14th man actually scored the winning try and they weren’t stripped of any points
