Does that mean Furner is gone?

As far as I am aware, Ciraldo is a specialist defensive coach
I doubt Ciraldo will go anywhere to be an assistant. If people are mentioning his name it would be to replace Baz.

Therein lies the problem with sacking Baz though. We would have to pay out a fair chunk of his contract and there are not many options out there. Ciraldo would be our third unproven NRL coach in a row. I cant see that happening.

The other list of candidates isnt great either. Paul Green and Shane Flanagan are the only proven NRL coaches but i dont think many people on here would be fans of theirs. I dont think Gus is either.

Hopefully we have a good year and dont have to worry about it

I’ve never been one or have I ever claimed to have any inside info in my 10 years as a member on the kennel, and I usually never mention anything like this weather I’m
or not. but I’ve been told from a very good friend of mine who has some dealings with the club which I won’t go into details on.that this is Luke Thompson’s last year at the club and that we really went hard into trying to get rid of him this year.
Hopefully Hetherington gets the same treatment and gets moved on also
Drinkwater is overrated.... hasnt an ounce of defence in him.
He has a great short kicking game, would be a great option alongside Burton tbh

I worry that if Burton doesn’t get a decent half to play with he will head off for greener pastures at the end of 23
Said from the outset that if we don't perform, then wait for the Keary concussion retirement and defection to Roosters

Got a quiet tip this morning in relation to Ryan Sutton from the raiders in a player swap with a dogs player
I’m hoping and guessing it’s flanagan

raiders have an abundance of quality second rowers
Not over the line yet but in the pipe

When does Burton have to inform the club about taking his player option?

Hetherington, Jackson, TPJ and Waddell aren’t great options. I wish RFM was fit..

The great Gus working his magic, why is great man assisting the Storm? Could Bellybutton be making his way to Belmore Boulevard? Gus is definitely cooking up something delicious for the bulldog's faithful

"I actually sent him a message, I said 'you're not allowed to give it away. The game can't lose coaches like you, and we can't lose you in Melbourne. You can't deny the next generation of talent your mentorship'.

"(I said) 'you don't get to decide when you retire, we'll carry you out in a box'. I sent that to him.

"There's no retiring... the game needs you, Melbourne needs you, the kids of the future need you. We can't have these blokes retiring.

"That's why Wayne Bennett has such a great outlook. I spent a bit of time with Bennett... he's never going to retire. He will never retire. And that's a really good thing.

"We can't deny the next generation whatever we can extract from these fellas.

"I know he's had a high-pressure and a marvellous career to date, Craig Bellamy. He probably never needs to work again, or be involved in football if he doesn't want to. But the game can't afford that

When does Burton have to inform the club about taking his player option?
I’m guessing quite late in contract. Townsend had option to stay Cronulla this year. He told them early last year he wouldn’t take up option, which gave plenty of time for club. This was because he had a big offer on table from cowboys though. Would depend on offers from other clubs

Either way, he won't be taking the up his option. Someone (hopefully us) will pay him $750k+

See how he goes with a top hooker next year in Mahoney. Things might flow a bit better. Still need to fix our defence though.

I have been told there will be a Half coming to the Dogs either signed by June 30, or on loan, but very likely in 23 at no time will the decision be rushed in picking a halfback ,Pearce was in talks but decided the Nrl was to demanding and opted for France, Flanagan won't last the season, either England or a settlement payment will be given to him, But remember folks 8 pts off 2nd last place in 21 where not good, this is going to take time ,Luke Thompson will go back to England at seasons end so alot of changes to come
I rarely bother getting on here these days, and this is exactly why! It’s been two years Dave, time to get off the pipe. Dickhead

You have to stick him on the edge and get TPJ into the middle, though that still isn't ideal. It doesn't help that Baz creates more problems they he solves, **** is fucking clueless.
Agree on all points lol

As i said after that he is awesome in attack, absolutely garbage in defence... we need somebody can somewhat do both and needs to be experienced.
