Small piece abt him in weidlers column this morning. Couldn't find anywhere else to post it.

Tevita Pangai jnr spent three hours with incoming Bulldogs coach Cameron Ciraldo last week, vowing to be accountable for every part of his life.

Pangai spent time with Ciraldo at Penrith last year and felt comfortable seeking him out for a meeting to discuss his commitment to the Bulldogs and his desire to be a success. Pangai told Ciraldo he wants to meet fitness and training targets like never before.

Pangai was at the announcement of the Sonny Bill Williams-Mark Hunt fight on Thursday, and it appears likely he will be on the undercard. The Bulldogs won’t stand in his way as they think training with SBW will be good for him. That means it’s highly unlikely Pangai will be going to the World Cup with Tonga. A fit and firing Pangai could be the X-factor that takes the Bulldogs into the top eight

Lots of good intentions look forward to seeing if he comes through with all of it. Could just be a lot of hype to allow him to pursue his 'boxing dream's.

He had all of the boxing training before this season and he looked well off the pace all year. Hopefully he gets this fight out of the way and gets his Rugby League fitness sorted out. TPJ says all the right things in the media, but we need to see it on the field..

I still wouldn't be surprised if he's moved on, no matter what Gus or Tevita say publicly. If he does stay though, hopefully Ciraldo can get him focused and playing consistent footy.

To be fair he might of been fit but then he had that fat useless **** Baz had as a trainer…. We where pathetic under him.

A hard off season is needed and I think with kikau Mahoney Jac etc there will be some serious convos about that and what’s acceptable. Think guys like Jacko king and kiraz will love to see it to!

A fit, committed, motivated Pangai will be a thing to carry a team. What he did against the eels shows us that.

The ball he’s got all his career has been shit service. Mahoney will help so much there.

A body like kikau and his ability to demand attention and running those lines will help huge to.

Throw in hopefully someone like pele who could be a wrecking ball to encourage tpj to play his game and I see a lot of good signs.

Very happy to see him wanting to be there and hopefully ciraldo unlocks tpj even at 75% if his ability consistently he’s a game winner.

Don't blame Baz, it was rumoured he was a lazy shit at the Broncos.

This was in May.

Tevita Pangai Junior was one such player linked to Bennett this week but the super coach said the Bulldogs enforcer is “not on our hit list at the moment”.

At the moment, of course, being the key word there.

“He’s on a three-year contract there, so I don’t know if he’ll be real keen to give that up,” Bennett added.

TPJs offloads alone are worth his pricetag. This guy can be a wrecking ball when he wants to but the 2nd phase play that he creates off his offloads is what we need to capitalise on.
Agree he is a huge POD for us when he is on. But he needs to be on more.
