Moses stands to pocket as much as $1.4 million-a-season to sign with Wests Tigers, which would make him the highest paid player in the game.

And while the Bulldogs won’t go that big, they are said to be willing to go to well over the reported $1m-a-season the Eels are currently prepared to pay to keep their star halfback.

The other potential factor in all this is that the Dogs are also closing in on signing Penrith centre Stephen Crichton to play fullback.

Securing Moses would complete a star-studded spine when you throw in Mahoney at hooker and Matt Burton at five-eighth.

But where that would potentially leave Parramatta is in a world of hurt.

It is understood Moses’ camp has told the Tigers and Dogs he will let them know his answer one way or another by Christmas.

And while Brown is not expected to make his final decision until closer to the start of the new season in March, the longer it drags out the more it puts Parramatta in an unenviable position.

Especially if they don’t budge dramatically on the current value they have put on each of their playmakers.

While people are right to argue the Eels are acting responsibly by not offering overs to keep either player, it would be disastrous if they end up losing both.

We’re more appealing than the tigers if we offer 1.1 we should get him.

TIgers coming to our rescue again. They paid massive overs for Mybe and Reynolds and they'll save us $1m+ of cap space if they sign Moses. Thank you Tigers. Packer only got 1 Alan Bond in his lifetime but the Dogs got him 3 times.

I'm sure the media are inflating the figures like always but it's obvious that there'll be a bidding war for Moses that's not worth getting involved in, especially if he's going to cost $1.2 million or more.

He’s not a 1.1 or 1.4 million dollar player. You pay players that kinda of money that will win you games 90% of the time and win GFs. Moses is not that guy.

If we can’t get George Williams I’d be very happy with Moses and he’s a must. We need a fucking 7. Figures are crazy but even the eels fans are seeing it on their forum saying pay him 1.2 as the lack of 7 is scary. We miss him and don’t get Williams it’s a nightmare.

Crichton could be amazing could be shit at fullback. Worst case he’s a quality centre and replaces schoup 1000x over.

If he clicks great.

Crichton
Burton
Moses
Mahoney

I’d jizz compared to fucking the trash we have had

Moses for $1.2-$1.4 million or Williams for 500-600k with a transfer fee of about 200k outside of the cap... Seems like an easy decision.. Gus is smart enough to avoid overpaying for Moses.

It's sad that so many on TK think Moses is our saviour when he's done jack at a strong Parra side in 6 years.
I mean that’s just not true. They made the grand final and beat some very good teams to do so. He had a huge hand to do with their season. The eels fans are shitting themselves at losing moses and happy to let brown go to keep him…
