Saltburn was highly rated by many. So I watched it, and I completely agree. It wasn't great. I liked how they shot the whole thing like it was shot in the early 90s, but everything else was either just random stuff for shock value. And the story was highly predictable. They made it predictable, but then tried to throw in stuff to throw you off which made no sense for the story or the character. Like the bath scene or grave scene. No one was watching him, so it made no sense with the ending.
Wife & daughter wanted to watch it so I watched it.....to quote William Shakespeare "Much ado about nothing".

I think Conor McGregor is a massive dickhead so I'm expecting the acting from him to be shite but I love Gyllenhaal so will be watching the Roadhouse remake real soon, it's available as of today on Prime.
The original is on there too atm but I have avoided watching it yet, I can barely remember the original made over 30 years ago.

I saw the trailer for that before watching Invincible. Was watching thinking, "This looks like a terrible comedy". Then it said, "Roadhouse" and I was confused. It seems to have nothing at all to do with Roadhouse.

Yeh a bit sceptical it may not be any good Hacky, apparently full on with fighting scenes and probably overdone.
Worth a look anyway.

for the Devil | Rotten Tomatoes
A man is forced to drive a mysterious passenger at gunpoint and gets involved in a high-stakes game of cat and mouse.

Watched this expecting nothing and wasn't disappointed. If it weren't for nic cage's over the top performance and various yelling his character does this would be a total lost cause as I nearly fell asleep five times in it's 90 minute runtime.

He won’t be able to capture the intensity of Chainsaw Charlie Terry Funk as the bad guy imo.

Looks a lot like a typical trailer for any alien movie IMO. I don't hate the alien franchise. I just thin it's tired. First one was way ahead of its time and good. But they've slowly miked it past it's worth on pretty much the same storyline. They've just added corporations trying to weaponise the species. When it was close to death, they introduced predator crossovers. Franchise needs to go to war against a planet/comet full of them maybe.

It should be past the point where humans let these things sneak up.

The 1st is a favourite of mine, the 2nd not as good and something I wont watch again, then the 3rd takes shit movie to a whole new level and I like my movies brainless when it comes to action.

Yeah I guess it's the street cred he has for E1 that keeps the franchise going.

For sure, its the only reason I watched the others.

The first is a top movie and my favourite from him.
Definately...but at least the guy got his pension fund returned after all that lol ...took 30 deaths but hey....and Roberto helped out the CIA newbie knowing Emma Collins is Susan Plummer's daughter. Nice touch.

Love Denzel and imo he has made far better movies than any of the Equalizer gigs I.e Training Day is a ripper no? American Gangster, Dejavu, Man on Fire, Book Of Eli to name a few really good ones.
My point though actually is its time this franchise ended(not sure it will though)a nearly 70 y.o senior citizen kicking ass starts to get pretty silly ...

Hollywood finds it very difficult to drop a franchise with decent success. Rambo and Rocky went on until it was ridiculous having sly there. Wouldn't surprise me if they introduce a successor if they.make an Equaliser 4.
